*Jay's POV*

It was good to work with Erin again.
Almost like before she left, but something was on Erin's mind, I just didn't know what it was.
"Do you got anything from the drawing?" Erin and I walked up the stairs and Hailey nodded when Erin asked that.
"Meet Derek Singh." Hailey gave us a picture.
"Looks like someone I don't want to meet." Erin gave me the picture so I could look at him aswell.
"Just got an adress on the guy." Adam got up from his chair and after he handed us the adress we all drove their.
"We're going in hot. I don't want to give this man a chance to leave. But I want alive so only shoot if really necessary." We heard Voight's voice over the radio.
"Copy." We all answered him and then parked the cars.
"Ready?" I looked over at Erin and when she nodded we got out of the car.
As soon as Erin opened the car door someone opened the fire on her.
I immediately jumped out of the car and tried to protect Erin by shooting at the window from which we were shot at.
"You good?" I looked her up when she was next to me.
"Yeah." Erin looked a little shook up but fine.
"Hank he definitely made us." Erin and I were the only ones in front of the house, the rest of the unit was next to or behind the house.
"We noticed. You guys good?" Voight answered Erin.
"Yeah. Still want us to approach?" It would be a bit risky but it was our job.
"Try it. But if you feel like it's too risky then go back." Voight radioed.
"I'll go, you cover?" Erin turned around and looked at me.
"Yeah." As soon as she got up I fired at the window and got an answer straight away.
"Someone is pissed that we found him." Erin radioed over while standing behind some dumpsters to take cover.
"So you could go on, I reloaded." Erin and I were a well-rehearsed team and it didn't take long before Erin could walk to the door without my having to cover her.
"Hold that position." I had already figured out a way to follow her and ran off while still shooting towards the windows to protect myself.
"Hey there." Erin had drawn her gun and we waited to get the 'all clear' from Voight to breach.

*Erin's POV*

Jay had his hand on my shoulder so I knew he was right behind me when I kicked in the door and entered the house.
I was ready to shoot in case someone attacked us but when I looked at the place where Jay had shot the window almost completely away there were only shell casings left.
"Upstairs." Jay whispered and I had heard the footsteps aswell.
"Sarge he's upstairs." Radioed Jay, just loud enough to be heard.
"Copy. We're coming in back door." Kim answered so non of us accidently shot her.
"Ready?" I looked at Jay, Kim and Adam and when they nodded the whole squad went up the stairs.
"Second door." I looked at Adam and he slowly opened the door.
Kim and I went in with our guns drawn.
"Chicago PD! Drop the gun!" Kim yelled and we both moved forward towards the guy.
"I'm dead anyways." The man moved finger to the trigger.
"You're not. We just want to talk." I tried to de-escalate the situation because we needed to know if he killed the women or if we needed to look for another killer.
"And then you move up here with a full squad and this maniac is shooting at me?" He looked at Jay with widened eyes.
"You shot at me first and he was just looking out so I didn't die. Derek now put the gun down." That I knew his name must have hit him hard because he put the gun down and kicked it over to me.
As soon as I grabbed the gun Jay cuffed him.
"You said just talk." Derek looked at me reproachfully.
"We'll talk at the district." I shrugged my shoulders and Kim and Adam drove him to the district.
