*Erin's POV*

"Mommy." Alani was crying and shook me until I groaned.
"It's all good." Nothing was good, I was in labor and I had no idea where the hell we were.
"I want dad!" Alani sat next to me and tears ran down her cheeks.
"I know, sweety. He'll come and get us." I indeed hoped that Jay did so because I knew that I couldn't help us out of here right now.
I tried to sit up against the wall, but groaned when another contraction came.
"You hurt?" Alani put her little hand on my arm.
"No. Not hurt. It's just that your brother wants to come now." I pressed my head against the wall and tried to make the pain more bearable, but that wasn't going to happen.
"Tell him to wait." I had to smile at Alani's suggestion, but then I cried.
The whole situation was hopeless and not fair.
Alani, almost three years old, shouldn't be locked in a room with her mother, and I shouldn't have my child now.
"Erin." The door got opened and for a brief moment I forgot my pain.
"It's nice to see you again. But do you mind keeping it down? Ouh wait. Right. You're getting my baby right now." At the words 'my baby' a shiver ran down my spine.
"You're not getting him." I spat at her.
"I will." I stared into my mother's eyes.
"And now have your child and don't scream so loud. You are traumatizing Alani." Bunny closed the door and left me alone with Alani again.
"Who's that?" Alani looked at the door and then at me.
"That's Bunny, a really mean women. Don't talk to her. No matter what. You need to promise me that, Lani." I stroked her head briefly before I got hit by another contraction.
The gaps were getting smaller and smaller and I knew that I didn't have much time left before I went to active labor.
"You have to be very strong now." I had checked the room and found a hole in the wooden wall.
Alani nodded seriously at me.
"I'll help you through the hole over there. As soon as you're out, run away from here as quickly as you can. You mustn't turn around to look at me. As soon as you see someone you have to ask for help. And it's important that you say Jay Halstead is your dad. Okay?" I had no idea what kind of world we lived in that I had to send my daughter, who was still way too young for this, to save us.
"Yes." I got up and tried not to suppress the pain, otherwise Bunny would notice that something was off.
"I love you." I pulled the wood back, Alani pushed herself out and ran as fast as her legs could carry her away.
"Go." I let myself slide down on the floor in front of the wall. Now I had nothing left to distract me from my pain.
I didn't want anything more than Jay with me here and now.
Tears came to me when I thought about the last time I talked to him.

*Jay's POV*

"Ey!" Upton slammed her hand on the table in front of me and I looked up at her.
"Jay. Keep it together. If you don't focus now, we'll never find her." I knew what was at stake, but I blamed myself too much.
Just as I was about to answer my cell phone rang.
"Halstead." I had the small hope that it might be Erin.
"This is Sergeant Cameron from the 11th District. I need you to tell me your batchnumber so I can confirm you're who you say you are." He said and I didn't know what this was about.
"51163." I told him and Hailey looked a bit confused.
"Detective I got your daughter here. She doesn't say what happened, but wants to talk to you." I immediately jumped up and ran into Voight's office.
"I'll be right there." He looked at me but then followed me.
"Alani is at the 11th." We ran down to Voight's car and drove there.
"Lani!" I knelt down and hugged my daughter.
"She kept talking about a rabbit." The desk sergeant looked at me.
"Bunny." Alani looked at me and I looked over at Voight.
"She's not talking about a rabbit. Bunny is a women. We've been looking for her the past year. She's wanted for several things." Hank explained to the guy.
When I got up, Alani pulled on my pants as if she wanted to say something else.
"Mommy baby." I couldn't answer her because I was like frozen.
"Damn it." The two men looked at me.
"Erin's having the baby." Hank looked exactly how I felt.
