*Jay's POV*

I slowly felt myself waking up but didn't feel like opening my eyes.
The air around me wasn't full of smoke anymore and it was pretty white around me, so I assumed I was dead.
"Jay." I recognised her voice immediately and opened my eyes to find Erin holding my hand.
"Hey beautiful." I stroked her cheek and a tear rolled down her face.
"How are you?" Erin squeezed my hand.
"Fine. I guess." I looked around and realized that I was in the hospital and that is why it was so white.
"What happened?" I asked Erin because I couldn't remember coming out if the room.
"Kelly and Casey got you out. I thought you were dead." Erin leaned forward and gave me a hug.
"I'm not. I'm here with you." I put my arms around her and pulled her closer to me.
"For a second I thought I would lose the baby." Her voice was trembling and I looked into her hazel eyes and then down to her little baby bump.
"It's alright now. Gabby and Nat stopped it." I couldn't say anything about it and just stroked her back because the thought if losing her and, or the baby was unimaginable for me.
"Hey there." Natalie and Will came in to check on us.
"Do you want to know now?" Natalie looked questioningly at Erin and she looked at me but I didn't know what they were talking about.
"Nat said she could tell us the gender of the baby." Erin wiped her hand under her eye to remove tears.
"If you want to know then I want too." That was the good news I wanted to hear right now.
"It's a boy you two." I looked at Erin and she beamed at me.
"Brother! Brother!" Alani came up on the bed next to me and kept saying that.
"Looks like you're all happy about it." Will smirked and then they needed to leave because they got a new patient coming in.

*Erin's POV*

I gently stroked my baby bump and then looked at my husband and daughter.
"So a boy, huh?" Jay smirked because I knew that he wanted to have a son.
"Guess so." I nodded and personally didn't care about the gender as long as the baby was healthy.
"Hey you two." Upton and Hank walked through the door.
"Grandpa Hank!" Alani jumped into Hank's arms.
"Hey kiddo. Do you want to go with Hailey for a second?" Alani seemed thrilled about that idea and the two left.
"The reason for the alleged hostage-taking was sheer police hatred. Nobody was hurt but you." Hank expensed to us while looking at Jay.
"Okay. So it's over and we don't have to expect them to do it again." I said and Hank nodded.
"Do you wanna know something?" He gave me a curious look.
"You're getting a grandson." A smile spread across Hank's lips and my smile was at least as big.
"That's amazing." He hugged me but then left us again because he got some work to do.
'I'll take Alani home with me.' Texted Upton me a bit later because Jay and I had to stay at the hospital for a night.
Jay because he had a inhaled a lot of smoke and I because Natalie wanted to make sure I didn't have a miscarriage after all.
"You really got me scared there for a moment when you didn't answer me anymore and Kelly and Casey hadn't found you." I snuggled up to Jay and didn't want to let go of him.
"I didn't mean to. But I just couldn't talk anymore in the smoke and it was so hot." He ran a hand through my hair.
