*Jay's POV*

"Hey you two." I kissed Erin's still flat stomach.
"Morning." She pulled me up until our lips met.
"No nausea this morning?" Usually Erin always went to the bathroom first thing in the morning.
"Don't remind me." She rolled her eyes but smiled.
"I heard that humming is helping." I read in a magazine once.
"I don't believe in it, but I will probably get enough opportunities to try it out." She smirked and kissed me again.
"I don't mean to say anything, but the front desk is waiting for you." I looked at the clock and even if we left right away, we would be coming late.
"Yes, you are right." Erin swung her legs out of bed and made her way to the bathroom.

*Erin's POV*

I didn't feel like spending the rest of my pregnancy at the front desk.
I didn't really enjoy assigning cars and then always seeing my unit drive off to another crime scene.
"I'll take him." Adam and Kevin were just coming in with a new guy that needed to get brought to look up.
The two left the man to me and buzzed up.
"I won't listen to anything from an officer like you." The man was apparently feeling especially great, and I rolled my eyes.
I didn't feel like explaining to him that I was ranked higher than Ruzek and Kevin, so I just kept quiet and locked him in a cell.
"Ey sweety." He reached through the bars when I was about to leave.
"You are welcome to visit me here at any time." He bit his lip and gave me a meaningful grin.
"You won't stay here long. And once you're in jail, just drop the soap, I heard it was just the right thing to do with your thoughts." I pulled my arm away from him and went back up.
"Where have you been?" Jay was leaning against the desk when I got back.
"Locking some guy up." I walked back behind the desk, my new work place.
"Did he do this to you?" Jay pointed to my right arm where a bruise was forming where the man had held me.
"He only grabbed my arm." It hadn't been a risky situation for me.
"Please be careful, Er." Jay stroked my arm tenderly, which earned us a few glances from patrolmen.
"Need anything?" I looked at one and he turned away.
"I almost thought so." I looked back at Jay and he chuckled.
"What's so funny?" I had no idea what he was laughing about.
"You're like Platt already. I guess that's one thing that happens when you're down here all day." Now I had to grin too as I thought about how I'd reacted.

*Jay's POV*

"Halstead!" I heard calling Voight from upstairs and let go of Erin to buzz up.
"Yeah?" I took two steps at the time.
"We have work here. You can talk to your wife at a different time." Voight tossed me a file.
"He's downstairs in lock up. Take Upton and interview him." He ordered and Hailey and I walked down.
"Do you have the key to his cell?" I leaned against the front desk and Erin gave me the keys.
"Where did you leave the pretty one from earlier?" That must be the man who had held Erin was the first thought to come to my mind.
"She is not here to amuse you." I put the handcuffs on him a little coarser than necessary.
"But to amuse you or what?" Hailey took him over and when we walked past Erin and he made another comment I was on the verge of punching him, but the look Erin gave me told me clearly not to so we just brought the guy to the interrogation room.
"So you and that lady cop, huh?" The man winked at me.
I looked down at the guys file.
"So Jason Monroe. I would recommend that you focus on your own problems for a while." I looked up and the guy just nodded.

*Erin's POV*

It was dead boring at the front desk, the only thing I had to do was give patrolmen some orders.
Every now and then someone from the unit would come down to talk to me briefly before they had to go back to work, but that was the most interesting part of my day.
"Ready to go home?" Jay came hopping down the stairs.
"For hours." He put his arm around me and we went to his car.
We had made an agreement that he would drive most of the time now, even if it made no difference whether I was in front of the steering wheel or in the passenger seat.
"So how was your day?" I asked him and knew that they've been busy today.
"Was okay. Upton isn't that bad as partner because I don't have to worry about her that much." Jay glanced over at me before looking back at the street.
"As long as she has your back, it's all good." I really had no problem with Hailey being Jay's partner now because I knew she was good police.
