*Erin's POV*
"Jay?" It was the middle of the night but I couldn't sleep and my head was on his chest.
"Mhh?" Jay was awake too.
"Can I tell you something and you won't be mad at me?" I turned and stroked his cheek.
"Always." Jay opened his arms for me and I snuggled up to him.
"About the baby thing... I really want a baby... but i don't think now is the right time for it." Jay had a hand in my hair and brushed a strand of my face.
"I think I just needed something to dive into so I don't have to deal with my problems." I felt horrible to tell him but he deserved to know.
"Er I know." Jay placed a kiss on my forehead.
"But why did you support my idea in the first place when you knew it was wrong?" I turned so I could look at him.
"Because I will always support you and I knew that you had to figure it out for yourself." Jay put his arms closer around me.
I just pressed my head against his chest because I didn't know what to answer.
"Thank you." I mumbled a few minutes later and when he pressed my arm gently I knew that he had heard me.*Jay's POV*
When I woke up the next morning Erin was still asleep and so I got the rare chance to just watch her how she was peacefully sleeping.
Since we had to go back to work today, but I didn't want to scare Erin with the alarm clock that went off every minute now, I turned it off and my movement was enough that she slowly woke up.
"Morning." I put my lips to hers and kissed her tenderly.
"Hey." When I pulled my head back for a moment, Erin leaned forward and kissed me again.
"Can we talk about last night?" Erin sat up and still looked totally sleepy.
"Yeah. But we don't have the time to do it now. First thing after work?" I asked and she nodded.
"Jay?" Erin grabbed my arm before I got up.
"Yeah?" I smiled at her.
"I love you." The smile on my face grew bigger and I leaned over to kiss her again.
"I love you too, Er." I started getting dressed because we were too late by now.
"Here you go." Erin tossed me the car keys and I was a little confused.
"Don't feel like driving today." She shrugged her shoulders and then walked out of the apartment.
I knew she felt bad for what she said last night.
"You don't have to try to make you beloved or something. Everything is good." I held out the keys to her.
"As I said; I just don't feel like driving." I sighed because it was hopeless to argue with her now and unlocked the car so we could go.
"Well there you are. Desk duty both of you." Said Voight as we came up the stairs.
"I got a job for you two." Antonio tossed Erin a key.
"And what does this thing unlock?" It was just a little silver key.
"The door over there." Antonio pointed to a door that was half hidden behind a closet.
"You guys gonna clean up there because we want some more space to put files." Antonio grinned and then went down the stairs because the team was called to a crime scene.
"Great. Downgraded from Detective to cleaning staff." I rolled my eyes but headed for the door to move the closet.
After a short time we had the door free and Erin unlocked it.
"Looks awfully small." Erin eyed the room suspiciously.
"We're in this together." I took her hand and squeezed it gently. Erin gave me a nod and walked in.
Since the room had no working lights, we got some flashlights to make it a little brighter in here.
When Erin cried out, I immediately turned to face the worst, but then saw that she only had a spider on her hand.
"If you allow." I took the spider from her hand.
"I can not believe it. Erin Lindsay is afraid of spiders." I chuckled when I walked back up to her.
"Those things are terrifying. You're the one being afraid of needles, so be quiet." Erin rolled her eyes but couldn't help but grin.
"Indeed." I put my arms around her and kissed her.
"Too early in the morning to see that." We both winced when Adam suddenly stood next to us.
"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. But everyone knows it anyway." I threw a cleaning rag at him and he ducked his head and left.
