As I got ready for the ball. It had been an hour already and I had already finished getting ready. As I was finishing touching up my makeup and hair I got up and headed to the door and Elijah came in. He looks at me from up and down while grabbing his chin and slicking his hair back. "Wow you look beautiful" "Thank you, you don't look so bad yourself you look very handsome" As I fixed his suit and his tie.

"Oh really? This dress is so easy to take off, don't make me take it off you."  "Let's go or we will be late" "Okay mom" A few minutes passed by and we finally arrived at the ball with everyone in the gang except a few people that were sent to stay behind at the warehouse. As we entered it looked like a castle inside and it was very beautiful and there were a lot of people I was not familiar with. As soon as we entered people came up to Elijah greeting him. "Welcome Elijah, great to see you here." "Thank you for the invitation Mr. Anderson" "Let me present you Y/n" "Ah, I see. Hello Y/n great to meet you, I am Richard Anderson and this is my wife Eleanor Anderson"

"Hello Ms and Mr. Anderson, what an honor to meet you"  "Yes yes, enjoy your night here have fun" "Thank you" As a few hours passed by we met a lot of different people and drinked a couple of drinks with a lot of different people. There were a lot of people that were having fun dancing and talking and smoking inside the ballroom. Later we see Ricardo, James,  Aaron, Mason dancing like crazy. I wouldn't blame them, it looked like a club in here. I laughed and smiled as I saw them enjoying themselves. "Hey boss you should dance with Y/n ''

I looked at Elijah as he was looking around flustered while drinking his wine he drinked it like nothing like it was simple water. It was very attractive for some reason. "Come on boss, don't be a party pooper if you don't dance with Y/n We will. So don't mind if we do" as they came close to me to approach me to dance with me suddenly Elijah grabs their hands all together and looks at them in their eyes.

"Hey you knuckleheads if you dance or touch Y/n I will cut off all of your hands got it?" As he bumped their heads together "Got it sir" I laughed "Are you okay boys?" "Yes y/n he's very violent as you can see" "Yes he is" as I looked at him and smiled. Suddenly a slow dance comes on and everyone grabs their partners to dance with.

Elijah comes up to me and reaches his hand out and says "May I have this dance?" I blush as I look at his hand and I place my hand on his hand and he walks me to the dance floor and he grabs me by the waist and pulls me closer as we dance. I lay my head on his shoulder as he places his hand on my lower waist. He suddenly talks "Are you enjoying yourself?" "Yes I am, thank you" "You look very beautiful tonight" "Thank you Elijah" As I wrap my arms around his neck and look at him and smile and he smiled back at me with such love in his eyes.

I loved his feeling but I always thought to myself what we were? One time thing? I know I didn't want to be a one time fling, I wanted to be by his side. I loved him. I didn't realize but I was slowly falling for this man in front of me and I wasn't ashamed for it. I was proud of it. As we were enjoying this moment we suddenly heard gunshots all around. Elijah reacts quickly and grabs me and we hide behind a table as he took out a gun out of his pants. "I always come prepared love."

He suddenly starts to shoot from the table to protect his people. Suddenly James and Aaron run to Elijah "Boss you have to get out of here, it is too dangerous" "Make sure to get Y/n out of here and our people out of here and I will check around to see if more of our people are danger in case and I will get out of here Understood" "Yes sir, let's go Y/n" I look at Elijah as I was scared for him thinking he will get hurt.

"Elijah you will get hurt, let's go together come on" "No you have to go, leave" Suddenly Elijah looks shocked and screamed "Get down" and shoots the person that was about to shoot me. "Go Y/n leave I will be fine, I will come back to you I promise" I nod my head yes and smile at him as me and Ricardo leave. Elijah stays back and does a final check with 2 bodyguards beside him. I look at the window of the car to see if Elijah came back and he does safely.

"Let's go before the police comes" We leave quickly and we head home and I make sure if Elijah was okay "Are you okay Elijah?" "Yes I am love, don't worry I didn't get hurt, I told you I was going to come back to you" He smiled at me and touched my face as he kissed my forehead. "Oh Elijah are you okay, I heard what happened, is everyone okay?" "Yes Charlotte everyone is okay, does Father and Mother know already?"

Yes they heard, it was announced on the news they have been alerted and your mother is worried sick, she asked me to tell you to give her a call they are unable to come since they are dealing with a situation in Italy" "Yes thank you, I will give her a call"

"Let's go Y/n I will take you upstairs" I nod yes and we head upstairs. "You should rest, you must be tired. I will be gone for a bit. I need to deal with what happened at the ball ''''Yes." He kissed my lips and touched my head and leaves out of the room. I was so shocked with what happened tonight what could have happened? Were they after me? Who was behind it? I slowly closed my eyes as I was thinking and thinking.
