Chapter 13
I swiftly walked up the smelly and packed stairs. Oh yes, the stairs were like traffic jam, you had to wait for your turn to move. I brisky made my way up and took a long breath. I did it.
Not a lot of people lined up yet, so went and stood next to the heater and patiently waited for the class to open.
"Hey you."
I looked up and instantly smiled. Ace shuffled towards me and we both high fived.
"Where were you? I couldn't find you on the way." I asked.
"Oh, I went to the canteen to grab a bottle of water." He fondled with the water bottle on his hand, "Did I keep you waiting?"
"Oh! No no."
More people started filling in the line and I was gradually squashed in between again, but thankfully I'm not next to someone who has a bad fragrance.
The teacher finally came and unlocked the door, "In you go tens."
My classmates noisily entered the room and Ace and I went to sit on our seats. Automatically, we both took our works out and I went over to grab a notebook.
"So, we figured out what our car would look like." He said and pointed his finger at our blueprints, "Will you do me a favour and search up the pressure of the air inside the bottle please?"
"Will do!" I logged onto the notebook and browsed Google. I wasn't a big fan of Science, so half of the things written on the website seemed blank to me.
"Do you have the formula?"
I did, but then I couldn't comprehend into saying it, so I scribbled the formula on the blueprint so he could calculate. He studied it for a couple of minutes before jotting down our measurements into the formula.
"Beautiful." He grinned. The way he said the word just... blew me away literally.
"What's up guys?" My teacher said as he grabbed a chair and sat in front of us. We both looked up and began to explain.
"So we know what our car would look like," Ace started, "as you can see here, this is the most accurate drawing we've created so far."
The teacher observed it, "Looks quiet defined, I don't see any flaws in it. I think this can could work!"
"Thank you!" We chorused.
"We even calculated for the distance it could reach." Ace continued and showed him his workout. The teacher smiled and nodded in approval.
"Good work, keep the standard high and I'll see the results in a couple of weeks!" He said and left us.
Once he was gone, I turned to Ace and we both high fived.
"Wasn't expecting that much compliment to be honest." He declared.
"Just shh and accept it." I said.

When lunchtime rolled, I went straight to my lunch spot. Disappointment filled inside me when I saw a group of girls sat on it. I stopped on my track and headed next to the spot. Flo and Alex joined me as I took my beef roll out.
"How was your last class?" I asked them.
"Okay, I guess." Flo shrugged, "We didn't cook today, we were looking up theories about foods."
