Chapter 9

"Flo! Talk to me." I begged and tried to keep up with her fast-walking pace. She shrugged her backpack closer to her back and kept on walking. I ran until I was right next to her and went in front of her.

"There's nothing to talk about." She replied and tried to go around me, but I pulled her back.

"How are you feeling?" I asked gently.

She then stopped being stiff and relaxed under my arms. She sighed, "I'm a jealous wreck. I'm so stupid."

"No you're not." I snapped, "It's called crushes. They're meant to make you feel like this."

"But they're stupid!" She groaned. I embraced her into a bear hug and she returned it wholeheartedly.

"They're stupid, but they lead you into a feeling that make your heart rocket up into the sky, send shivers down your spine or smile whenever he's around." I said.

She scoffed and pulled back, "Sheesh Ivy, how many Wattpad romance books did you read?"

"A lot," I replied cheekily, "so much, that I'd like to share more about it to you."

"Ugh, not even going to bother, but seriously? Serious crush sucks."

Her words triggered my mind, and a flashback of DFW filled my vision. I frowned as my heart tugged down, screaming 'You're still not over him!'. I removed my mind vision and focused back on Flo.

     "It is."

I was scrolling down my Twitter feeds, and it was mostly about my favourite Minecraft youtubers tweeting. I did, however, discovered a lot of tweets that went like this:

     #AlexFromTarget is sooo hot

Have you seen him before? I did! #AlexFromTarget bagged my groceries and then we took a selfie together!

I realized that it was currently one of the most popular hashtags on Twitter. I began to feel curious and clicked on the hashtags. There were, so many girls -- I mean FANgirls -- tweeted him. I clicked on the latest photo of this Alex person.

     And then my lips parted.

He was looking down and putting items inside the plastic bag, but wow, he's a beauty. Light brown locks fell onto his forehead as he gazed down. His red shirt was kind of sticking to his body, and I well know that there's goodies under it. A tinge of blush crept up my cheeks and I giggled quietly.

     Fangirl activated.

"Wow, why are you giggling like a maniac?" Arine questioned. I quickly put my phone down, screen first, and wiped the stupid smile off my face.

"Eh, nothing, just a joke my friend made." I replied curtly.

"A joke about a guy?" She teased. I bit my cheeks hard and tried not to show any funny emotions.

I decided to show her a bit about about Alex, "Basically. Someone made a meme about this cute guy on Twitter."

She took my phone away and studied the picture, "Ew."

I gasped and snatched it back. How I am ashamed to this generation, "No, you're ew."

"No, I'm fabulous." She did a kawaii pose and winked at me. Even she could wink.
