!!SO SORRY FOR LATE UPDATE!!

Chapter 28

I stared at the content of the bin unknowingly, and thought whether or not my eyes were playing tricks on me again. I leaned in close to the bin and tried to look at it properly, but I couldn't tell much if it was actually green or not. Dipping my hand inside, I contemplated for a bit before picking up one of the contacts.

This is so disgusting.

But I didn't stop, because if I stop, my curiosity will kill me mentally. I stood up quickly and tattered my way across to the sink, dropping the contact on the counter. The sunlight reflected against it and shone like crystal under a magnifying glass.

The green was not mistaken under the light, so my eyes weren't being tricked. Well, unless you were questioning me about what colour the dress was, which I saw it as gold and white.

But who would wear green contacts? My mind automatically flashed Ace's pair of eyes. No, he wouldn't be wearing contacts if he wore glasses right? The thing is, every time I met him, he would always wear glasses.

It can't be, but I wouldn't cross out the possibility either. My thought shifted to Alex. What were the colour of his eyes?

It was quite hard to tell, because his eyes changed according to the light of the room. I've also never been near him face to face, and that means I couldn't cross him out as much.

But what if someone else wore the contacts?

I checked the content of the bin again. No, I doubt so, because judging by the amount of them, someone had to be here almost everyday.

I shook my head and threw the contact back inside the bin. It's not my place to put thoughts into this, but then things like this won't leave my mind so easily either.

I washed my hand under the cold water thoroughly with provided soap next to the tap. That was so stupid of me to pick up a used contact, who knew that one was contaminated?

I cringed.

Checking my nose one more time, I head out of the bathroom and saw Ace on the same position. I could sense the smirk played on his lips and took a couple of seaweed crackers, but I lost interest in arguing anymore.

"Whatever, take the whole pack if you want." I said, heading towards the project box.

He stopped midway, "Are you sure?"

"Mhm, I've got another one at home anyway."

"You planning to bring it here again?"

"Maybe." Maybe not. This was our last day doing group meetings after all, and I doubt it would happen again any time soon, especially when we were nearing the Summer holiday.

"But you have to! I have the place for it."

"Which is?"

He pat his stomach, "Right here."

I rolled my eyes, "Quit dreaming, you can get another one when you go shopping."

"But I already told you I can't speak Asian." He whined.

"You don't have to!" I sighed, "and didn't you buy the Pocky?"

He shook his head, "Alex did."

I face palmed. This boy.

"Just help me pick this box up. We're going to test it outside right?"

"No, we're gonna do it in Alex's bed to wet it." I narrowed my eyes, "I'm k-i-d-d-i-n-g!"
