Chapter 10
It was the start of period five on Thursday, which was Discovering Engineering. Ace and I lined up in a single line nearby the class's wall, and I stood behind a tall guy who stunk so bad. I wrinkled my nose and reached as far away as possible, but I ended up bumping on Ace.
"Whoops, sorry." I whispered.
He chuckled, "What's wrong?"
"The guy in front of me smells." I replied.
He took a sniff, and then fanned it away. He made a silent puke sign and I giggled. How I wanted to do the same.
"Want me to stand behind him? Because you looked like you're sandwiched between two tall people, and you probably feel suffocated." He mused.
"Yes please."
We swapped position, and now the guy behind me was almost the same height as me, but a little bit shorter. The guy in front of us started to sneeze, and Ace and I replied simultanously.
"Bless you."
He wiped his nose with a tissue paper and turned around. He didn't saw me, since I was so short, compared to Ace.
"Hey! my name's Kyle." He introduced himself and took his hand out. Ace did the same and they both shook hands.
"Ace."
"You're the new British guy everyone is talking about, aren't you?"
"Everyone talks about me?" Ace answered in disbelief. I covered my mouth and tried to stop myself from giggling. He's so oblivious.
"Yeah, especially the girls. Dear god, even my girlfriend talks about you." Kyle sighed. Ace reassured him by patting him on the back.
"Don't worry, I'm just any ordinary guy. Girls just have some of those wild imaginations, you know?"
"Hey!" I scowled. Kyle peeked at me through Ace's shoulder and smirked.
"Yeah, she does." He agreed, "She even told me you stink."
Oh my gosh.
Kyle started smelling both of his armpits and frowned, "Really? I can't smell anything."
He sneezed again.
"Bless you."
"Thanks." He said and wiped a snot away, "Anyway Ivory, you're lying. I don't smell."
"Yes you do, you just have a blocked nose." I pointed out.
"No I- achoo!"
"Bless you." I rolled my eyes and shook my head.
"Fine, got some deodorant on you bro?" Kyle asked Ace. He started to go through his bag and handed him the deodorant. Kyle started spraying all around his body gently, but then it turned out to be noisy and smelled heavy.
"No deodorant allowed at school thank you!" A booming voice called. Ace and I jumped on our spot as we spotted our DE teacher heading towards us. Kyle shoved the deodorant behind his back to Ace and he quickly hid it behind his back.
I hid behind Ace and snatched the deodorant off him so I could hid it inside my bag. Kyle told the teacher to blame it all on him (which was partially true), and he got an upcoming detention. The teacher sighed and walked away to get the class's attention. Kyle turned towards us and rolled his eyes.
