Chapter 35

"Ivy, is that a K-pop song that I'm hearing?" Flo questioned, but she already knew the answer anyway.

"Did you say K-pop?" Alex gasped, and scoot closer to us, "I didn't know about this!"

"Do you listen to K-pop Alex?" I asked. I never pinned him as a person who likes this kind of music.

"WELL," He began, "I wasn't supposed to, but I kinda caught my sis-- err -- friend in the act of trying to dance like one."

Flo laughed, "That is so like Ivy. I think I have a video of her doing that in front of the mirror."

"Don't." I said sternly.

Sitting on a familiar, two-seater brown couch, Flo and I decided to hang out at the boys house since I haven't visited ever since the project finished. When I first took a breath inside their house, the same smell of boys sweat with a hint of weed wavered in the air. Although everything looked the same as when I last came, there's one thing that was missing; our compressed car.

"Don't be shy now, I thought we're best buddies?" He said, "I'll even put my favourite bias on TV."

I pretended to think, "But I don't remember sealing that with a kiss?"

Flo blushed, remembering the first time we met Alex.

"That was a kiss for good luck. For our long-lasting friendship. Because you know, you can't trust fake bitches these days." He rolled, glancing at Flo as he did so.

That seemed to lightened the tomato off her face.

"You say as if you've fucked one before, have you?" Flo asked.

"All I can say is: life is full of unexpected mysteries."

"Yeah right."

My phone blared again, with the same k-pop music that was playing two minutes ago.

"Shit! I forgot to answer my phone because of you guys." I pointed out jokingly.

Flo rolled her eyes, "What did we do now?"

"Be right back."

I went out the front door and near where the garage door was next to the house. It's possibly my parents who wanted to check me in, but didn't I already tell Arine where I went? Maybe she forgot. I'll tell her off next time.

Before I broke off in this spot to dance, I swiped the screen to answer the phone without looking at the caller, "Hello?"

"Hi Ivory! Do you remember me?" A sweet voice replied on the other end. Oh!

"Oh, um Eleanor right? Eleanor Rose." I remembered.

"Yes! No need to be formal about it, just think of me as a friend."

So formal, "Sure."

"Now," Eleanor began, clearing her throat, "are you free any time this weekend? I'd like to meet you and discuss some things -- you know, as a friend."

"I need to check, but I'm pretty sure it's alright." I said, "Where do you wanna hangout?"

"Do you know the new cafe that opened in Perth? I hope you've been aware of your social media stats."

Of course I have social medias, how else am I able to admire my bae's? "Is it the new coffee bar? Isn't that for eighteen plus?" I asked confusedly.
