The bell rings, indicating the end of the day and I make my way to the back of the school near the field where I wait to meet Luke. While I'm waiting, I put my earphones in and after a few songs, someone taps my shoulder. I turn to my left only to realise there is no one there so I turn to my right again and see Luke smirking.

"You asshole," I joke.

"Nah, you love me really," he says.

I smile back for a second before hearing the sounds of the school doors shutting and a few more people escaping from this prison.

"We should go, you have a therapy session to get to," Luke reminds me.

I groan, "Shiiiiit! What a way to end the day,"

He nods slightly and we head towards the gates. As we're about the cross the road, a car stops right infront of us. A car that I recognise as my mum's.

I look up and curse as my mum rolls the window down. Luke looks at me questioningly (idk if that's a word but oh well, you know what i mean).

"Alex I thought I'd - Oh, is this your friend?" my mum says, embarrasingly.

"Just ignore her," I say to Luke.

"Luke! That's the name! Alex is always talking about you, love," mum says to him.

I look over to my friend and notice him smiling. Great.

"Luke this is my mum," I mumble, "What are you doing here? I was just on my way home,"

Luke puts his hand out for my mum to shake and she smiles as she does so.

"Katy had to reschedule the session, so we have 20 minutes to get down there,"

I sigh, "Alright then,"

"Luke, darling, you hop into the car too. I wouldn't mind dropping you off on the way," she says like he's a 6 year old.

"Thanks Miss Pearce," he replies, getting in after me.

"No problem. So where to?" she asks, rolling the window back up and driving off.

Luke explains to my mum that he's going to a friend's house for band practice, which I only realised up until now. So she follows his directions to Michael's house. On the way, they chat some more about Luke's band and mum seems impressed. I'm not sure if I should take that as a good thing or not but at least she doesn't hate him.

When we get to Michael's house, Luke climbs over me to get out of the car. He gets out and waves goodbye and shouts a final thankyou to my mum. As we drive off, she says loudly, "He's a nice boy, that Luke. In a band, wow, very impressive," and I can't see his face but I know he's smirking.

"I don't even understand why I have to be here," I say, moodily to Katy the stupid therapist.

"Let's try to be calm about this, Alex," she says slowly.

Am I not being calm? If she keeps talking like that then I'll giver her a reason to say that.

"How have you been feeling lately?"

I swear she has already asked me that 10 times today.

"Fine I guess,"

"Good, that's good," she shuffles a few papers around on her desk.

"Are we done yet? Because the idea I have is that you only want to know how I'm feeling and to be honest if I stay here much longer, I am probably going to flip," I say, standing up, "I'll be off now. My mum is waiting for me,"
