"But what will my mum say?" Luke asks, panicking.

We're all round Michael's house and I think all of that awkwardness from the skate-centre has gone, which is good. Michael wants to dye Luke's hair but he keeps protesting. Calum is keeping away from the hair drama by watching TV.

"We don't have to tell her,"

"Mikey, don't you think she'll notice? I live with her, just in case you've forgotton,"

"I like it the way it is," I add.

Michael glares at me, wanting me to back him up. I laugh at him and go over to join Calum on the sofa.

"Maybe another time, yeah?" Luke asks his pink-haired friend as they both come and sit down.

He sighs, "Fine,"

"What are we watching then?" I ask Calum.

"Some shitty animal thing," he replies, scrolling through his phone, obviously not interested.

"I'M SO GODDAMN BORED," Luke groans, rolling off the sofa.

"If you'd let me dye your hair then we wouldn't have the problem," Michael sighs.

I cuss at him but smile anyway.

"Alex, let me dye your hair!"

I furrow my eyebrows, "What? No way!"

"Oh, pleeeeeeease," Michael begs.

"No! If I ever dye my hair, I'd want it down by a professional," I cross my arms.

"I am a professional. I did this," he says, gesturing to his own hair.

"Go and find another victim," I say and laugh as he tries to persuade Calum.

Calum gets annoyed so goes to the kitchen, where he is followed by Michael.

"Luuuke! Stop it!"

I hear his cute school girl giggle from behind the sofa as he keeps tapping my back and hiding.

"Do you actually think I'm stupid?"

I turn around and push him down by his shoulders but unfortunately he pulls my arms down with him and I fall, head first, down the back of the sofa. My knees hit the wall behind the sofa and make a loud bang that echoes through the house.

"Luke you dick!"

I manage to sit upright in a comortable position behind the sofa with Luke opposite me, laughing his head off.

"I'm- sorry," he struggles to get out.

"You better be," I sigh.

"Guys? What's going on?"

Luke and I stand up behind the sofa, causing Calum to jump out of his skin and fall backwards over the glass coffee table.

"What the-!" he groans as he gets up.

We jump over the sofa and help him up, both laughing.

"Sorry dude," I say, trying to stop laughing.

He waves off my apology, "Just as long as I didn't break the coffee table,"

"Where's Michael?" Luke asks.

"I don't know, you're his boyfriend,"

I give Calum a high-five, agreeing with him while Luke huffs and heads upstairs to search for his boyfriend.

"So tell me more about this Ashton guy," I say to Calum as we both flop dowm onto the sofa.

"Um what else is there to say?"

"What was it like? Meeting him and stuff,"

"Ashton came to Michael's house on his push-bike wearing this terrible purple shirt and the whole time we were there, we kept thinking, 'Couldn't he have worn something better?'" Calum laughs.

"Aw the poor dude,"

"Anyway, we were playing fifa when he came in so Luke kept asking if Ashton wanted to join in and he explained how he didn't like fifa. But luckily we all got on well,"

[SIDE A/N HERE: IK CALUM WASN'T THERE WHEN THEY FIRST MET ASHTON BUT THE STORY DIDN'T FIT WITHOUT HIM BEING THERE SO I CHANGED IT OOPS PLS DON'T HATE ME GOODBYE]

We're interupted by Luke and Michael bouncing down the stairs, the phone in Michael's hand.

"Shall we order some pizza?" he asks.

I look at the time on my phone and groan, "It's 8:30,"

"So?" Calum asks.

Everyone looks at me except Luke

"Her curfew is 9," he answers for me.

I bring my hands up to my face and begin to bite the tips of my nails. But luckily Michael and Calum don't ask any further questions.

"Bye Alex," they say, waving as I follow Luke to the door.

I wave back and he opens the door and steps outside with me.

"What are you doing?" I ask him.

"Can I not walk my best friend home?" he asks, smiling slightly.

"Okay," I say, smiling back as I do up the zip on my jacket.

"Did you have fun today?"

"Yeah, I did. Thankyou,"

"Why are you thanking me?"

"You organised it. Besides, I feel like we are all going to be really great friends," I say, looking out at the darkness ahead, slightly lit up by street lights.

"But it will always just be me and you, right?" he says after a long time.

I look over at him and smile, "Of course it will,"

"Whatever happens?"

"Whatever happens,"

We get to my house and he winks at me before I unlock the front door and step inside, grinning from ear to ear.
