*2 weeks later*

School isn't going as bad as I thought it was going to be. Most of my lessons today I have with Ruby, so that's good. But, the gang know that something is bothering me (besides the break up) and this is making them quieter than usual. Especially now, at lunch. The only people talking are Ruby and Oscar, although they're keeping their voices down. Even Ethan is managing to keep his mouth shut, which surprises me.

Violet is mouthing sentences to Ethan and glaring at him, while he just glares back and tries to ignore her.

Meanwhile, I'm sitting across from Finn as he carelessly moves his food around his plate, oblivious to everything around him.

Alice and Max are also seated at the table, beside Violet and Ethan, but Liam is not around. He's probably at another one of his football practices.

"So it's all planned?"

Ruby's loud, excited voice breaks the silence and everyone turns their attention towards her and Oscar.

She looks at me for a split second, hopeful, as I give her a confused look. But then I remember what day it is. And what's happening tonight. How could I forget? Ruby's been talking about it all day.

"I'll pick you up at 4, you better be ready," Oscar says, looking at the both of us.

Immediately, I put a smile on my face. Yes, I'm still not 100% sure I want to go, but I can't break my promise and if anything, I'm going for Ruby's sake.

"Oh my God, I'm so excited I don't even know what to do. Just one more lesson and we can go home and get ready and shit and oh my God, I'm sorry. I just wish time would go faster, but then I wouldn't want the concert to end..." Ruby babbles on like that for a little while longer, as everyone around the table sighs in frustration.

The only people smiling to keep her happy are me and Oscar, but I don't think she even notices. She's too excited. And I'm happy for her.

When Ruby finishes her piece, the table goes quiet again. I'm not sure if it's just the tension between me and Finn though, because I keep seeing Alice and Violet talking in hushed voices. Usually, this is the time when Violet and Ethan would be bickering, but for some reason, this isn't taking place.

Suddenly, Liam appears behind the table and everyone sighs in relief, not including Finn; he's still oblivious.

"Right then, have you two sorted out your shit yet?" he asks, climbing into a seat between Violet and Finn.

What? Why would he ask that?

I'm about to tell him that there's nothing left to sort out between Finn and I but Ethan speaks first.

"Dude, now is not the time," he hisses across the table.

Violet gasps the same time he answers.

What is going on?

"Wait, what? Hold up please," I say, setting down my fork onto my empty plate.

"Well shit, I guess you guys really did keep your mouths shut," Liam says, surprised.

Ruby, Oscar, Finn and I are all looking from Ethan to Violet to Liam, confusion running through us.
