Max's P.O.V~

Too many people have come to visit, I feel overly protective.

I don't know why though.

Because of this little thing my only family is comatose, and the only father figure i've ever had wont talk or move or eat because of it.

On one of my many visits yesterday I told him that they have the same eyes, but he just cried and hugged me.

He's good like that.

I mean at least he doesn't ignore me or tell me to get lost.

I watch over the little creature in its cot and I can't help but love it.

It has these beautiful brown eyes and this beautiful chocolate hair.

People keep asking me if I want to name it, and as expected they get all sniffly when I tell them that i'll wait fir Ruby to wake up.

I know it sounds stupid but I know she'd never leave me.

She couldn't.

And there is no need for the baby to have a name yet, since it doesn't do anything anyway.

It almost never cries.

I pick it up and it smiles at me happily, it has seen me often enough to know i'm important.

I quickly set it down in the doll's pram we found for it, since baby's are fragile.

I'm gonna take it to Glenn.

I roll it out the door and into the hallway, they put Glenn and Ruby up the very end of the first floor and moved the other rooms around a bit to make Ruby Glenn and I two new ones next to each other.

The other night I heard someone say that it's ridiculous because Ruby will just die anyway.

She'll sure embarrass them when she wakes up.

As I reach the door Glenn doesn't notice me or the baby, he is too busy staring at Ruby.

She looks ghostly against the white sheets, her hair fanned out around her head like a long, curling crown.

"Ahem." I cough, knocking on the metal bars as loud I can.

This is it, this is the moment Glenn meets his child.

Glenn looks over slowly, his eyes expressionless and dulled.

That is until he sees the baby.

Suddenly he stands up and walks towards the pram, his eyes starting to water the closer he gets.

"I wanted the baby to meet you guys, so it won't be scared when you're better." I tell Glenn quietly.

Glenn's knees give way and he collapses to the floor in front of me.

"Thank you Max." He says hoarsely before wrapping his arms around me and pulling the pram closer.

He lets go of me and picks up the baby, it's so small that he can fit it's whole body within his hands.

It was too early, Hershel had told me.

Glenn pulls it to his chest gently and looks at it lovingly.

"What's his name?" He asks me as the baby stares back at him.

"I don't know, i've been waiting for Ruby." I reply absentmindedly.

Glenn looks sadly at the baby.

"I don't think we can wait that long."
