Chapter 36

Ruby's P.O.V~

"So how did I get you to like me?" I ask Glenn.

"What? You're smart and cute and stunningly beautiful, how did I not fall for you." He replies.

"Whatever. How is this spot special to us?" I ask.

"This was our first date-sort-of-thing. I kissed you for the first time here." He tells me.

"Wow. So it is a special spot."

"Yeah, when I kissed you the first time I was still together with Maggie but I hated her. And then you came along, and you are the most beautiful girl i had ever seen. You were covered in dirt smudges but your clothes were spotless and you had your reading glasses on and I looked at you and I was so worried that you might have had a boyfriend or husband because Max was sitting on your hip. I was just filled with nerves and excitement after just laying eyes on you."

"So I helped you cheat?"

"No, I did the big dramatic kiss, which by the way was one of the best kisses I ever shared, and then I said Ruby what if we die tomorrow and you said then I better go look after my cousin."
He looks at me really seriously an I can't help but burst out in laughter.

"I know how funny it is," Glenn smiles.

"But I totally burnt you!" I giggle.

"Yeah but as you were leaving a walker. Attacked you and I saved your ass." He smirks.

"As if I'm a brilliant fighter."

"Well it was silent and your arms were stuck."

Once again another memory pops up in my head, like a cute little movie.

I see Glenn's head appear in place of a walkers and as he pants and exclaims,
'You could have died!' Or something.

Glenn's staring at me and I realise how spaced out I look.

"What happened there?" He questions, grinning at me.

"For saving my life, and then making me remember it."

"You remember!"

"Yeah, I do." I exclaim happily.

"Do you remember friend zoning me afterwards?" He asks.

"No I don't."

"Well you said we could be friends, but the next day the whole prison ate breakfast outside, and your friend Alex was there. I saw you from my table and you hugged that Alex guy and I got really jealous. I saw you looking at me so I made out with Maggie and stared at you,which was creepy and effective. And you got angry and went to look after Max." He tells me.

Suddenly I remember what happened next.

"You pulled me into a corner!" I yell.

"Yes I did!"

"And we argued, you kissed me and I pushed you away, and then you kissed me again and said we can't be friends and then we got together!"

"I can't believe you remember!" Glenn yells happily.

I stare into his eyes.

"Glenn, that one made me remember how I felt too." I whisper.

"How did you feel?" He asks equally quietly.

"Like this." I say before I lean in and kiss him.
