Ruby's P.O.V~

I wake up the next morning and feel a presence next to me.

On instinct I wrap an arm around it, assuming it's max, but the shoulder I wrap around is far too broad to be Max.

I open my eyes to find Glenn snoring softly beside me.

I scream loudly and wake him up, along with the rest of the cellblock.

"What's happening?" Rick asks jumping down from the top bunk.

"He's in my bed!" I say shoving Glenn violently away from me.

He slides backwards and drops softly onto the floor.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" He exclaims.

A group of people have gathered around the cell.

The older man, Hershel, steps forward.

"I'm sorry you had to wake up to such a shock Ruby my dear, it's just that Glenn had a bit of a meltdown last night and the only thing that made him remotely calm was being near you." He says as he leans against the doorframe for support.

I look around at the other people outside and nod slowly to show that I understand.

I hold my hand out and Glenn takes it and I pull him up.

"Thanks." He says.

"No worries." I reply.

Rick clears his throat.

"Glenn are you on breakfast today?" He asks gruffly.

"Uh yeah I am." Glenn says as he casually strolls out of the cell to make the pod.

I walk to the doorway and apologise to everyone for waling them up and I am met by people telling me how fine it is.

Hershel lean over to me.

"I don't suppose I could have a word to you in private could I?" He asks softly.

"Yeah sure." I say following him to one of the picnic tables outside.

He folds his hands on the table in front of him and looks at me in a fatherly manner.

"Ruby I only found out your full story quite recently, but I would like to ask a favour of you if that would be alright?" He asks sweetly.

"Sure thing what is it?"

"I want you to talk to Glenn and ask him questions about your relationship with him and others to see if you'll remember anything." he asks with a guilty look on his face.

"Sure I can, that's no issue." I reply cheerily.

"Thank you Ruby. You know that before you and Glenn got together he was dating my eldest daughter Maggie? It wasn't your fault that they broke up but I still had some harsh feelings towards you, but when I saw how happy Glenn an you were together it made me remember all that is still good, and I would like to do all I can to help you remember Glenn and all the love you had for him." Hershel says softly, grabbing my hands and staring into my eyes.

Hershel let's go of my hands as Glenn pokes his head out of the door.

"Hey it's... uh... time to eat breakfast!" He yells awkwardly.

I rush over to him before he can leave.

"Will you eat breakfast with me outside?" I ask him politely.

"No." He tells me bluntly.

I turn to walk embarrassedly through the door when he corrects me.

"I will, however, eat breakfast with you in our special spot." He tells me happily.

"Cool take me there." I demand as cutely as possible.

Glenn walks ahead of me through the door and I throw Hershel a quick thumbs up.

Glenn grabs two plates and piles one tall with fried onion, mushrooms an tomatoes. He piles another plate with everything else like egg, asparagus and stuff.

He hands the first plate to me.

"How do you know that I only like this stuff?" I ask him astounded.

"Because I know you." He replies casually.

He turns towards a door behind the sink and oven area and walks through it.

I follow him as he takes a couple of turns and finally we get to an abandoned block.

Without hesitation Glenn walks up a staircase and through a door at the top.

I run after him, but as I reach the last step I trip.

I close my eyes and wait for the pain, maybe my fork will stab me in the eye.
Maybe my plate will shatter and pieces will go through my torso.

But the pain never comes.

I open my eyes and see Glenn's face inches from my own, his arms wrapped tightly around me to stop me from falling.

"Are you okay?" He asks me softly, his voice sounding deep.

"Yeah I'm fine." I whisper absentmindedly.

Suddenly I see myself kissing him, but not now, like a while ago.

I stare at Glenn's lips.

When did I kiss him?

And then it hits me, that is a memory.

"I remember kissing you." I whisper.

Glenn's P.O.V~

I look at Ruby in utter disbelief.

She remembers me.

Slowly I lean in and press my lips softly to hers.

She doesn't push me away or scream.

I break the kiss and look her in the eyes.

She looks at me with wide eyes, a little confused as to what just happened.

I shrug.

"Wanted to make some new memories." I tell her casually.

I pull her up and crouch down to check that her feet and ankles are alright.

She has a small red impact mark on her right shin that could bruise.

I look up at her,

"You okay?" I ask.

"Yeah."

I stand up and pick her plate up, fortunately it didn't spill and just slid across the floor a tiny bit.

I wonder how affectionate I can be with her? I think to myself.

We both walk through the door and I set her plate down across from mine.

"So what do you want to talk about?" I ask her.

"Us."
