chapter 10

I start to tear up, I dont even know why, I just did. God, of course he was taken. He was too cute not to be.

He isn't cute! He is an idiot!

At least he told you he had a girl! Says one part of me.

He wanted you more that that girl... winks another part.

I stop dead in my tracks and lean against the nearest wall.

Oh god... I have to get my head together...

"Ughhh ugh-ugh raugh..." I whip my head around to see the gaping jaws of a bastard. It's jaws snap shut dangerously close to my nose. In reaction I push it away as best I can, but it is too close for me to have enough momentum. I try to grab my knife froom my belt, but I slip and the bastard falls on top of me.

One of my arms is pinned behind my back and the other is holding a, now-severed arm. The walkers other arm has not broken off and it swats the air whilst it's jaws try to bite my cheek. I drop the arm and push the walkers neck up, but his arm swings toward me.

Oh god... this is it... I think just before the walker is torn off me with tremendous force.

Glenn stands above me, panting.

"Oh god Ruby I thought you were going to die!" He drops to his knees beside meand slips his hand under my back to pull me up.

"I am fine Glenn." I reply stubbornly.

"Well if I hadnt been here you would've died!" He yells, annoyed by my defiance. I pull away from him and stand up, he stands as well.

" Ruby I didnt mean it. The kiss was a mistake. I love Maggie. You think we can be friends?" Glenn asks kindly.

"Yes Glenn of course we can." I reply.

"I don't even know what happened, you aren't my type." He jests

"Oh really, why?"

"Well you're really short for a start!"

"Fuck off Glenn, I am a great hieght!"

"Sure you are!"

We keep light heartedly joking for the rest of the evening ~
