chapter 15

"What the fuck?!" I hear someone scream from behind us.

I turn around to see Alex.

"What are you two doing!" He yells.

Oh shit think fast.

"Glenn was trying to make me feel better! He is taking me to get a drink!" I yell back, faking sadness.

"Oh. I'm sorry. I came back to apologise and I saw you two and I kinda... freaked out. I'm sorry..." He responds quietly.

"Yeah you should be." Glenn pipes up from beside me.

"Ruby is amazing and if you ever try anything with her again I will personally feed you to walkers!" He continues.

Suddenly I hear slow clapping.

"That was so sweet of you Glenn!" Carol commends from the doorway of the eatery. Beside her is Rick, Carl, Hershel, Maggie and Beth.

"What are you guys doing here?" He asks.

"We heard yelling so we thoight there was an attack." Rick replies.

"No, shrimpy here was just harrassing Ruby." Glenn informs them dropping my hand.

"Y-yeah." I stammer.

"Oh well good on you Glenn!" Carol responds exstatically.

"Yeah, just helping out." Glenn says, wrapping his arm around my shoulder protectively. I see Maggie glare daggers in my direction but I couldn't care less, it felt so nice for Glenn to be affectionate.

"Well we all best be heading to bed." Hershel says.

"Yep, big day ahead of us; run day." Rick adds.

"Oh yeah can I join. I am great with a gun and would love to help." I say.

"Yeah sure." Rick says.

"I will take Alex back to his cell block." Carol says.

"I am going to bed, coming Maggie?" Says Beth.

"Yeah." She responds bitterly, following her sister.

"I think I will too." Says Hershel.

Rick nods and takes Carl to bed and once again it's just Glenn and I.

"Still up to it?" He asks.

"Not tonight."

"I understand." He says beforenkissing me softly.

"Want me to walk you to your dorm?"

"Just to the stairs, so it's not suspicious."

"Okay." He replies, walking in silence towards the cells.

"Imagine how easy this would be if the world had not turned to crap." I implored.

"We could just avoid Maggie, it wouldn't matter." He said.

"I wish it was easier."

"Me too." He replied as we reached the staircase.

"Sleep well." He whispers.

"Ciao." I reply as I begin to ascend the steps.

He watches me until I am out of sight.

How can I make this quicker?
