Chapter 76

I lie on the soft leaves as I pant heavily.

Glenn is still holding my hand as he laughs softly, turning on his side.

"That was great." He tells me softly as he leans into my side..

"I agree." I giggle back as he kisses my cheek.

I turn on my side as well so Glenn can spoon with me,
I know he loves it.

"So we have two kids now... Maybe three seeing as that was super unprotected..." Glenn jokes.

"I dare you to try being pregnant... It sucks."

"I don't ever think I will." He quips back.

"I'm what everyone at school said I would be; a mother at 18."

Glenn leans over the top of me so I can see his face.

"I'm eight years older than you I always forget that." He says quizzically.

I look at him lovingly.

"It's probably because I'm so much more together than you are as a person." I joke.

"Ruby, maybe you shouldn't go on runs anymore." Glenn questions on a serious note.

"What?"

"Just think about it, I mean you have the kids, I know that they'd be better off tough with you alive than weak with you dead." He tells me as if what he's saying is insightful and not offensive.

"Well I'm not exactly planning on dying as I can handle myself."

"Well inside you went a little crazy on that guy."

I sit up and straighten my shirt.

"I went revenge Glenn, and if anyone here should fear for their safety on a run it is definitely you." I huff, getting up and leaving.

"Ruby wait!" Glenn calls after me, but I'm out of here.

How dare he question my abilities like that.
