Camila sat at the desk next to her bed with her laptop open, trying to type down the rest of the assignment she had to turn in two days later. Her mind wouldn't focus, though. All she could do was think about Halloween night a few days earlier and all that went down in Shawn's apartment. She heard the door open and Hailee walked in, throwing her bag over her bed and laying down.

" How was your date?" Camila asked, glad to have a distraction.

" Amazing." Her friend said with a big smile. " He took me to his parents restaurant and introduced me as his girlfriend."

Niall had asked Hailee to be his girlfriend the day before and she was on cloud nine. Camila didn't want to seem jealous, but she wondered if Shawn had any intention of doing the same.

" I'm so happy for you, Haiz." Camila genuinely smiled.

Hailee had her phone in her hands, typing a text while Camila observed her friend. She had so many questions in her head and Hailee seemed to be the right person to ask them.

" What do you want to ask me?" Hailee says, looking at her before she can get a word out.

" How do you know I want to ask you something?" Camila asked in surprise.

" You're not that hard to read, Mila." Hailee says with a kind smile. " Go on, just ask me anything."

" Okay…" Camila sighed, looking down at her hands in her lap. " You're not a virgin, right?"

" That was not where I thought this was going." Hailee laughed. "And no, I'm not a virgin."

" How was your first time?" Camila asked shyly.

" Oh, this was the actual question." Her friend said with a small laugh. " It was kind of terrible if I'm being honest."

" Did it hurt?" Camila asked with curiosity. She knew it was kind of a basic question and the answer was different for every girl, but she still wanted to hear from someone who could give her more details.

" A lot." Hailee said, looking like she didn't really like to recall that memory. " But I kind of did it out of pressure. Now I know I wasn't ready, that's why it was so bad. Of course, the fact that it was with this guy that obviously didn't care that it was my first time also makes it all worse."

" I'm sorry. That sounds awful." Camila said with a sad smile. " How old were you?"

" Fifteen." Hailee sighed. " I wish I had waited longer, though."

Camila thought back to when she was fifteen. It was just three years ago, but it felt like a lifetime, and she definitely wouldn't be ready to do it back then.

" So I'm guessing there's a reason for these questions." Hailee smirked at her, making Camila blush and nod her head. " I see the way Shawn looks at you, Camila. You're in good hands. Just make sure you actually feel ready for it, that it's something you want because of you, not because of him."

" I want it really bad." Camila confessed, looking down shyly. " But I'm still kind of nervous about it."

" That's completely normal, I think. But if he actually cares about you the way I'm pretty sure he does, then he's probably just as nervous as you are."

" You think so?" Camila asked in doubt.

" Yes, I bet he wants to make it special and perfect for you."

Camila smiles after hearing those words, suddenly feeling less nervous about this thing.

" Thank you, Haiz." Camila says. " I didn't want to ask Taylor because she would make a huge deal out of this."

" She for sure would." Hailee laughed, knowing the blonde would end up talking to Shawn about it since they're so close.

Camila spends the rest of her night finishing her assignment, getting some help from Hailee for that too, and falls asleep on her bed after seeing a goodnight text from Shawn. She watched her classes the next morning and afternoon, then headed straight to Shawn's apartment. The whole walk there she had her mind set on what she wanted to tell him. He had left the door unlocked for her and when she walked in, he was seated by the piano, writing down on a notepad, so she was pretty sure he was writing a song.

" Hi." Camila announced her presence, walking to him and placing a kiss on his cheek. " Are you writing a song? Can I see it?"

" Hey, there." Shawn chuckled, using one hand to hold her face, and then kissed her lips. " Yes and not yet."

" What? Why not?" She asked curiously.

" I'm still not done with it." Shawn smiled, pulling her body to him until she was sitting on his lap, her legs around his waist as he kissed her again. " But I promise you'll be the first one to hear when I finish it."

" Okay." Camila smiled at him and pulled him in for a longer and lingering kiss, his hands on her hair as she rested her forehead against his. " I wanted to tell you something."

" What is it?" Shawn asks, looking into her eyes as his fingers play with her hair.

Camila places a quick kiss to his lips before wrapping her arms around his neck and moving her mouth to his ear.

" I'm ready, Shawn." She whispers with certainty in her voice.

She moves her lips away from his ear and looks again into his eyes, waiting for him to understand what she's telling him.

" You mean…" He seems to have lost his words. " Are you sure?"

" A hundred percent." Camila nods and smiles shyly before kissing his lips one more time.

" Like right now?" He asks nervously, making her laugh.

" Like anytime you feel like." She said with rose cheeks.

" I kinda had a plan in mind for that, so can we reschedule it for tomorrow?" He says with a chuckle, making her blush even harder because it sounded like she was jumping on him. " It will also give you more time to think about this. If you're still sure tomorrow, then you know you're actually ready."

" Okay, that's a good plan." She smiles and reaches to take a curl of his hair off his face. " But just so you know, I've been ready for awhile now. I trust you."

" I'm glad to hear that." Shawn smiles at her like she just made his day with those words. It was true. She trusted him more than anyone and it was almost scary, but she also knew this was a good thing.
