Chapter 5: Eighty three years later

A/N: I will be filling in the time gap during the story don't worry.

Hope's life hadn't changed much in her time on Neverland. Most of the Lost Boys really did see her as their mother, and call her that. Wally didn't fit in with the Lost Boys so Peter had his shadow take him away, back to his realm. Hope's powers had increased with her time on the island. She still couldn't fly. Peter told her only an extremely happy memory or feeling could let you fly. As Hope and Peter had the power of Neverland they didn't need pixie dust to fly.

Hope had developed feelings for Peter over her time on Neverland but she knew he would never feel the same about her. Hope had become close to Hook in time. She now knew his name was Killian. She had stayed aboard the Jolly Roger when she had a fight with Peter or the Lost Boys.

In the beginning she traded rum to the pirates to earn a stay on the Jolly Rodger but the crew accepted her as one of them over time. Hope and Killian become very close and he let her know she was more than welcome on his ship anytime. Hope still made him rum to thank him, even if she hated it. Killian would bring back little things for her when the ship left on supply runs for Pan.

Peter made sure part of the crew was on the island before Killian went on supply runs so he would come back. Hope asked a few times to go with them, to see how the world changed, but peter never let her leave with them, or any of the Lost Boys. But hope knew she would come back if she ever did go on a supply run, the island and all the boys were here home and family, she would never leave them.

Hope awoke on her bed seeing Mickey laying on it fast asleep. He was one of her favorites and really felt like a son to her. She recalled why he was there. Mickey had nightmares a lot of the time. The Lost Boys, Peter and herself were having a party for some reason Hope forgot. Mickey had gone to sleep early feeling tired. A couple hours after he went to sleep Hope heard a noise coming from his tent. She walked in to see him flailing around and mumbling "Let me go!" Sweat falling down his face as well as tears.

Hope woke him up right away "Mickey!" She said, shaking him awake.

He bolted up about to cry. Hope hugged him tight as he cried "Mommy it was so scary! Pan killed all the Lost Boys and was killing you while I had to watch!"

Hope held him close and brushed the hair out of his face. She looked up to see Jake and Devin (two Lost Boys both fifteen years old) watching them. The Lost Boys were trying not to laugh at the boy crying. "Mickey, we are going to hang out at my treehouse for a while so you can calm down alright?" Hope asked him, glaring at the two boys.

He sniffled and nodded his head. Hope teleported him to the treehouse. Over the years she had really considered it her home, not just Peter's. Hope walked over to the boys with a disappointed look on her face "Really Jake, I thought you would know better to spy on people. Devin, you told me at his age you had nightmares as well, don't make fun of him." Hope scolded the boys.

"Sorry," They mumbled. Peter told Hope that no one on Neverland had to apologize but Hope always did so most of the boys would apologize to her as well.

She teleported herself to the tree house to see Mickey looking at the second star to the right. "Do you want a cup of hot chocolate?" She asked him.

He nodded his head and sat down on the couch as she placed a blanket around him handing him the mug of cocoa. They sat there for a while not knowing Peter had been watching them the whole time.

Hope began to hum. Mickey set down his mug and looked at Hope. "Can you sing it?" Hope picked him up and set him in her lap. She brushed his hair out of his face as she began to sing the song she sang every night to the Lost Boys.
