The town was bustling with life. Hope quickly hid behind a tree as she changed her outfit to be something more fitting of the town. She made her bow and arrows appear back with the others at the beanstalk. Hope wore her coat from Killian, and the rest of her pirate-themed outfit from her fiftieth Neverday. She added some extra jewelry for fun. Might as well enjoy it. She made sure her sword was strapped on tight before walking into the town further.

The teenage girl in bright red pants didn't go unnoticed for long. "Well lookie here. We gots a little girl wanderin' round all alone." A pirate said standing in front of her path.

"Would be a shame to let her wander round all by her lonesome. Poor thing could get in lots of trouble." Another pirate said behind her. They both looked to be in their early twenties.

Hope blinked at them sweetly. "Who me?"

The first one shook his head, "Let's take the dear lass somewhere safe. Me ship at the docks be full of rum. Best place to stay a while." He pointed to a tiny ship down the alley. He reached out to grab her.

Faster than he could react, Hope pulled out her sword and pointed it at him. "Thanks for the offer but I'm good. I have my own ship, far larger than that little thing you call a ship."

"Oh! Got a bit of a fight in you do you? No way a thing like you has a ship." The second one laughed as they both drew their swords. "Maybe you didn't hear the first time. Ye be comin' with us Luv." Both men started fighting her as Hope fought back. She laughed at their fighting. It was slow and they kept leaning side to side.

"In fact, I am the Captain of my ship. I doubt you two are anything more than deckhands." Hope told them before she knocked the second one's sword out of his hand and picked it up.

They both laughed at her. "Ain't no one would let you be a captain'. Yer a girl" First one told her. Hope yawned, making him even more mad. A few people had walked over to watch the fight.

She disarmed the first one and pointed her sword at his throat. "I do believe I win. And yes I am a girl. A girl who just made a bloody fool of you. Now save yourself the embarrassment of talking to all these people and run." The two men looked around at the crowd that saw them lose to a teenager and took off running. Someone watching began to cheer and more people followed. Hope took a bow and held out her hat to the crowd. "That was a wonderful fight was it not? Must be worth a few coins." A few people did drop coins in her hat.

Hope slipped them into her pocket and walked down the road looking for another fun thing to do. She sat down on a barrel as she watched people stumbling past her, sometimes taking a few coins from their pockets. Dad would love it here. Everyone is drunk, anyone will fight anyone, easy to steal from people. Not to mention plenty of women who will do anything for some coins. Hope saw a couple stumble out of what looked like a bar.

"Ay-" Someone stuttered as they leaned against the barrel. "Do ye be the lass dat fought the Smith brothers?" The boy looked even younger than the ones she fought. He couldn't have been more than fourteen. A drunk at fourteen. How sad. She thought to herself as she replied.

"I don't know if they were the Smith brothers but yes I did just duel two men and beat them. It was easier than fighting a child."

The boy laughed and spun around. "Ya be the captain' of a ship? Me wants to out of here! Let's sail away and fight anyone who crosses us Captain Red Pants! Let's have us adventures all day. "

Hope tried not to laugh as he talked. "Captain Red Pants? I like that. What's your name kid? And who let a boy run around here by himself?"

"Why I did! Yer new here, this place been me home since I was a bitty lad. Everyone says the tide brought me one day! Ye be as pretty as the morning sun. Everyone just calls me Boy." Boy told her as he started to dance and sing. "Found a lass, she be great! Let's have adventure we can't wait!"
