Amelia looked at her phone. She heard it chime, a text from Regina. Amelia, I need you to watch Henry after he gets home from school. I don't know how long it will take. I do think I should be home before bedtime. If not, get him to bed and you can leave when I get back.

Henry was somehow eleven years old already. Amelia loved him just like a little brother. Matt walked next to his niece. "Earth to Amelia, time for school." she looked up from her phone. "Sorry Matt, I got a text from the mayor. She needs me to watch Henry when he gets home from school. I will let you know when I know more. Love you." she placed a kiss on his cheek as she walked out the door.

"Amelia, wait." Matt told her "I have to take care of some business this afternoon so I won't be home when you get back from school." he told her. She nodded and kept walking. "Hey mealworm!" Paige yelled when Amelia stepped on the bus. Zach had his arm around her. He smiled coldly at her. She sat down next to Jacob. "Hey." she told him moving her hair out of her face.

"Hi Lia. I was wondering if you wanted to hang out with me after school? We could go get some food from Granny's." he asked her, glancing back to see if the evil four were listening. That is what they called Steve, Zack, Kelly and Paige.

"I would like to but I have to watch Henry after school. Maybe another day?" she told him. "Take Henry with. You talk about him so much I wanna get to know him. I'm sure he won't mind." Jacob suggested. Amelia thought for a moment. Would Henry mind? It was always the two of them doing stuff together.

"Let me ask him about it when I get him from the bus. He likes going to Granny's for hot chocolate or his castle in the park. Maybe when he and I get there you can run into us, if he says you can hang out with us you can. I'm kinda his only friend so I don't want him to think i'm ditching him for you." The bus pulled up at school, as everyday Amelia hopped off as fast as she could. Jacob slowed down the evil four and met her in their first hour.

Steve slipped away from the others. He walked into their class and Amelia knew what was next. "Go to the back of the school when the day is over. Me and Zack want to talk to you. You might want to bring a bucket so you don't spill on the floor." he told her with a menacing face.

He sat down just as the others and Jacob walked inside. As soon as Jacob saw her he looked very concerned. "What happened? Your face is really pale." he had known for a long time that she was hiding something from him. He wished that she trusted him. "It's nothing, I just don't feel great." Amelia walked over to the teacher and asked to use the restroom.

She walked very fast and locked the door. She lifted up the hem of her shirt and looked at her scar. At the thickest part it was as wide as two fingers. It has gotten really bad over the last twenty eight years. She knew it was bad, way too bad to do anything about. Amelia shook her head, trying to find a bright side so she wouldn't cry. Every time she cried she hated herself, she should know how to handle her problems. Amelia had gotten so good at fixing herself up over the years she would make an amazing doctor.

You might want to bring a bucket so you don't spill on the floor. Kept replacing in her head. It's going to be a deep one. She knew that. She could tolerate it when the girls did it. Some quick motion and it was over. When the boys did it it was slow, they said the most cruel things she could imagine while they sliced her.

Amelia managed to calm down enough to get to class. Jacob was watching the door intentionally waiting for her to get back. "You need to go see the school nurse Lia. Tell me what's up, don't lie to me. I know you're not telling me something big."

"Jacob just drop it." Amelia snapped at him, her eyes pooling with tears. "No, I'm not going to just drop it. Talk to me, you can trust me." he reached out to her hand, she pulled it away. The bell rang and Amelia practically ran out of the classroom.

She walked to the bathroom and called her uncle. "Amelia, what are you doing calling me during school?" Matt asked her. Her voice cracked as she said "Can I come home, I-" her voice broke. "Yes sweetheart. Should I tell the mayor you can't watch Henry?" he asked. "No I can. I just have to get out of here."

"I'm leaving the shop now to pick you up. Go to the office and tell them I'm picking you up. I will be there in five minutes." he hung up the phone and picked up her backpack. Amelia did as she was told and soon she was sitting in the back of her uncle's car. He looked at the mirror to look at her. She wrapped her arms around herself sobbing a silent cry. She was shaking despite the day being warm.

Matt looked in her eyes and one word came to mind, broken. Amelia ran to the Below and had a melt down. She cried her eyes out, splattered the most angry colors of paint she could find on the walls, destroying her beautiful paintings.

Matt stood by the trap door, hearing everything. "How did you let this happen?" Amelia yelled at herself. Matt knew what to do. He picked up the phone and made a call. "Greetings Dr. Hopper, this is Mr. Gold-"

Amelia felt her phone ring. She picked it up, answering it not looking to see how it was. "Amelia? Thank goodness you finally responded." Jacob said in a stressed out voice. "What happened? Where did you go?"

Amelia closed her eyes. "I left school. I'm leaving to go get Henry now. See you on Monday." she hung up on him. She looked in the mirror and saw her face was a mess. Amelia cleaned up the best she could. Her eyes were red but everything else looked fine. She put on a clean outfit, the white flowy dress that her mother had. She slipped a pair of black leggings underneath.

She climbed up the ladder. "I have to go get Henry." She told her uncle not to look at him. "Wait, I have to talk to you. I made us plans for tomorrow at noon so don't make any plans for then." Amelia nodded. "What are we doing?"

"You are going to talk to Dr. Hopper. You're not yourself anymore." Matt told her. Amelia didn't respond. She walked to the bus stop, Henry was already there. "Hey Lia!" He ran over to hug her. She winced a little bit as he touched her scar unknowingly.

"Hey Henry, let's go to your castle. I am not really up to Granny's today." Henry nodded and they walked to the park. Amelia loved the mist from the water on her face. When they saw his castle Amelia saw many things wrong. Inside the castle was a to-go bag from Granny's and Jacob sitting with it.

By the edge of the water was the evil four. Whatever she did Amelia was screwed over. Henry walked over to the castle. "What are you doing here?" he asked Jacob. Amelia couldn't look at either of them. "I'm sorry to bother the two of you. I need to talk to Amelia for a moment. To make up for stealing her away for a couple of moments I got you hot chocolate with cinnamon and a slice of chocolate cake for you both." Jacob said.

"Henry, I will be back in just a moment, alright." she glanced at the four by the edge of the water. "Stay here." Amelia gave him a quick hug as Henry nodded. Jacob offered Amelia his hand. She declined as they walked over to the side. "I really don't want to talk, Jacob. I said I would talk to you on Monday." he yelled at her angarly "What is wrong with you? I know something is wrong but you keep shutting me out about everything! Friends are supposed to trust friends."

"Mealworm!" The two of them turned to see the four walking over to them. Steve was carrying Henry over his shoulder trying to get away. Amelia was by them in a second. "You win. Let Henry go. Let's go." she told them in a small voice.

Jacob gave all of them a confused look. "Lia, what are you talking about?" Steve set Henry down. He ran into Amelia's arms. "Who are they Lia?" he whispered in her ear. "Don't mind them." She turned to Jacob. "Take him to Granny's. I will be there soon."

She turned to the four. "Let's go." The girls looped their arms around hers and they walked behind the small bathroom building. Steve took out his small pocket knife. "Did you think you could get out of this so easily? You should have just let it happen like normal now it is going to wish you had just stayed at school."

In one swift move the knife when in. She could feel the handle in her flesh. Just as she blacked out she was Henry and Jacob running over. Henry gasped as he saw the knife in his only friend. What have I done?
