Chapter 23

Karas POV

We were leaving for Midvale tomorrow as soon as the girls get out of school, I'm excited to see Eliza and I know Alex is. I'm pretty nervous about introducing Lena to her though,

It was only about 3 in the morning when I heard Emery yell from her room,

"Mommy! Mommy!" She yells panicked and I quickly get out of bed, she hasn't called us mommy yet so I'm assuming she is having a nightmare, Lena just have heard her screams too because she was walking down the hall when I got up

"Hey," I coo picking Emery up and sitting her in my lap and she burrows her head in my chest as I stroke her hair

"You're alright," Lena says patting her back and her cries turn to hiccups

"Are you okay now?" I ask still moving her hair and she nods

"What happened?" Lena ask and she tenses up again

"You're okay" I say trying to soothe her and she relaxed again

"I had a bad dream" she says,

"The people who took me to my other home came and took me away from you" she says holding onto my neck

"No ones going to take you, I promise" I say

"I was scared, I don't want to leave" she says

"I know baby, but you're not leaving. Never ever" I say and she yawns

"Promise?"

"Pinky promise" Lena says holding her pinky out and Emery smiles and connects it with hers

"Let's get back to bed now, yes?" I say and she nods

"Can I sleep with you?" She ask me and I nod

"Sure baby, " I say and carry her into my room and she rest her head on my shoulder

"Goodnight," I whisper too Lena as she passes me

"Goodnight" she says and Emery gets under the covers on my bed and her eyes are already closed when I get back in bed

"Goodnight Em" I say and kiss her head

"Goodnight Momma" she says and rolls over,

I don't think she will remember it In The morning but she said it, I smile to myself and close my eyes drifting off back into my sleep

A few hours later when it was time for us to get up I rolled over and rubbed Emerys back to wake her up

"It's time to get up" I whisper and she rolls over and sits up

We both get out of bed and go into her room to get an outfit out and I leave her to get dressed while I go and get myself some clothes,

The girls had packed their bags the day before so once we get them to school Lena and I will put everything in the car before going to work a few hours,  Lena is making up take L-Corps jet instead of flying commercial so we were all meeting at her hanger, I forget sometimes that she is rich....

"Everyone have their bags and everything they want?" Lena ask the girls when they come into the kitchen

"Yes" both of them reply and sit at the table for breakfast

I dropped the kids off today so Lena could go into the office for a little longer and I would see her at lunch

Lenas POV

I am going to give Kara the promise ring today during lunch. I also bought a chain incase she didn't want to wear it on her finger but around her neck like a necklace,
