Chapter 41

Lenas POV

3 weeks and I have been vomiting everyday. Maybe it's the universe telling me that Kara and I shouldn't  get married since it started a week after I proposed.

I had a relatively short day with only 2 meetings this morning, one of them was at 7 this morning.. who even wants to be at work that early. Before living with Kara I would be here at 5 every morning but I got used to the not going In until 8.

The next meeting was at 9 and it's 10 now so I just have the entire day to catch up on paperwork,

I got about half an hour worth done when I got a call from Emerys school

"Ms.Luthor?"

"Yes this is she"

"I'm calling regards to Emery. The last few days her classmates have been saying that she has been being mean and bullying during their breaks, taking their supplies and teachers have also been making reports about her behavior. We talked with her about it each time but since it has been going on for a few days we think it's best to have a parent talk to her"

"Yea, okay. I'll be there in 15 minutes"

I left my office and drove straight to Emerys school. She has had an attitude with Jo almost every day too. I don't know if it's just seeing how far she can get without getting in trouble or what, but that ends today

I walked in the school and to the office and Emery was there with her bag sitting in the chair, I signed her out and she got up and we walked out, she got herself in her booster seat and we drove back to L-Corp

"Where we going?" She ask

"I have to go to work so you will be sitting in timeout in my office" I say, it's not like there is anything for her to do anyway

"But mommy" she says and kicks her legs against the back of the seat

"No buts young lady" I say and she stops and looks out the window.

When we got to my office she sat down on the couch while I sat back behind my desk,

"We will talk with momma when we get home" I tell her and she nods

While she sat on the couch I got about 15 minutes of uninterrupted work before my stomach started to turn and I ended up throwing up what little breakfast I Did have this morning in the bathroom connected to my office

"You okay mommy?" Emery ask me

"Yea baby I'm fine" I say composing myself,

"You have been sick for a long time right?" She ask me

"Just a little" I say

"Maybe you're having a baby! Ethans said his mommy gets sick a lot and is having a baby" she says and I chuckle

"That's not possible baby, I'm not having a baby" I assure her and she frowns

"You should" she says and goes back to laying on the couch

As soon as I sat down my office doors opened

"Ms.Luthor I'm sorry. He just came in" Jess says and Lex stood next to her

"It's alright Jess" I say and she walks out

"What's up baby sis?" He ask not noticing Emery who was eyeing him up and down

"Work Lex. You should try it sometime" I say

"Yea well - who's this?" He ask turning to Emery. She doesn't do well with strangers. The doctor said it could be from past experience, as soon as he said that her eyes moved to me and I nodded so she got up and walked over to me climbing in my lap
