Chapter 19

Karas POV

Alex and I were getting together at her place tonight for a sister night, Jo was having her first sleepover with Ruby at Sams instead of here and Lena and Emery were having some bonding time, both girls were at school and I was with Lena in her office for lunch

"What are your plans with Em?" I ask her

"Well, I'm ordering food, going to I rent that movie she has been wanting to see and play a few games" she says, Lena really is special.

"What are your plans with Alex?" She ask

"Top secret" I laugh

"No, what we do everytime, sit in our Pjs eat lots of food and watch TV" I smile

"You're adorable" she smiles and I blush, I like her, like really like her, and I need to tell her

"Hey Lena?" I ask

"Yea?" She replies and before I have the chance to answer Jess comes into her office, if all time.

"Ms.Luthor I am incredibly sorry for interrupting" she says

"Your brother is here and is demanding her speak with you" Jess says

"Tell him to wait and I'll be out" she says and Jess walks back out

"I'm sorry Kara" she sighs

"It's okay, I'll see you at home" I say

"Wait- you wanted to say something?" She asked

"No, no it's fine" I say and she smiles

"Okay, well I better get out here before he comes in" she chuckles and we both walk out of her office and I go back to Catco,

I had met with some people this morning about higher crime report around national city and now I am back in my office writing my report before I picked the kids up,

First was Em, then Jo since she got out a little later then Emery did,

"Alright, have a good day Ms.Grant" I tell her. Since we got the girls she had been a little more lenient with me leaving early since all my papers are done anyway

"How was school?" I ask Em when she gets in the car.

"It was bad!" She says and crosses her arms buckling her seatbelt

"Why?" I ask her as we head to pick up Jo, it's only 5 minutes away from the elementary school

"Because my teacher is mean, she made me sit out for recess" she says kicking her feet against the back of my seat

"Emery stop kicking, and why did she make you sit out?" I ask as we pull up behind the other cars at the high school

"I accidentally threw a toy at someone" she says

"Accidentally" I say

"It was an accident! She walked in my way" she says and starts kicking the back of my seat again

"Well you shouldn't be throwing things anyway" I say

"She was in the way!" She yells and kicks the seat harder

"Emery! You need to stop yelling and kicking" I say and she huffs but stops, she really is the sweetest kid but like any child she has her moments, we pulled up next to get Jo and we were on the way home

"Before you ask, school was good" she chuckles

"How did you know if I was going to ask?" I smile
