Chapter 48

Karas POV

This weekend we have a full schedule, Today. Friday Lex and his girlfriend are coming over for dinner. Lena says she hasn't met the girl either and is pretty anxious about having him over.

Then on Saturday we're having a gender reveal party. Lena was ultimately against the idea completely but with my famous alien pout she gave in. Alex is the only one who knows what we are having. We're not having a baby shower or anything like that,

We only have a month now until the baby is born, the girls are excited to help us start working on the nursery once we move into our new house,

That also took Lena a lot of convincing. At first she said there was no reason to get a house. But after I argues the kids needed a yard to play in she was more Lenient about it. However I would have been fine with a small house in a neighborhood. Lena was not having it.

She made sure the house had a gate and a fence the entire way around it. It's a pretty decent size house and I still don't know why it needs to be that big but she insisted. We already bought it, or she did we just can't move in until next week because Lena is having every security measure known to man put in this house.

Not only do you need the key to even unlock the front door. You need to have a fingerprint. Which we are already scanned for.

So really the only people that can get in the house is me, Lena, the girls, Alex and Sam. And of course Lena and I both have an emergency override code if it ever comes down to that which I know it won't

She also insisted on cameras just about everywhere outside, aftwr all of her adjustments and assigning people to make it happen. Next Saturday is our move in day. The girls are excited to see the new house as they haven't yet. Only Lena and I have actually been to and seen the house

The girls have been back in school for a few weeks now and I was actually leaving work now to go get them.

Lena and I have an interview with Ms.Grant in a week to announce the engagement. We're keeping everything about the baby and the girls out of the paper as long as we can

I pulled up to Emerys school first then headed to Jos

"How was school?" I ask Emery as we were waiting on Jo to come out of the building

"It was good. Do we get to see mommy's brother today?" She ask

"Yea, Lex will be at the house around 5:30 for dinner" I say and she nods as jo gets into the car and we start driving home

"How was school?" I ask her

"Stupid" she says

"That's not nice Josephine" Emery says from the backseat

"Why was it stupid?" I ask her

"Just- it just was. First we had a pop quiz in English. Then had a test in history which I suck at if I may add. Then I had people telling me I only had good grades because Lena Luthor was my mom which doesn't even make sense. They said she payed the school to pass me" she vents and I frown

"I'm sorry love, high school is tough" I say and she sighs and nods

"Yea, what time is moms brother coming?" She asked and I told her 5:30.

When we got back to the penthouse she went into her room and I got Emery out s snack. Most of the entire house has already been packed and the things we didn't need here were already at the house.

After I made sure Emery was good I went back to Jos room and she was on her laptop with some school papers out

"Science?" I ask and she smiles. It's definitely the only subject where she likes to come home and do her homework
