Chapter 28

Lenas POV

Today was our last day here and we were heading home, it's Saturday now and the kids have school starting Monday again, they only have two months until school is out for the summer,

We definitely got our money's worth at the parks though, we spent all day every day walking around, ridding the rides, and met some new people,

They each got some souvenirs to remind them of the park, a couple shirts, a stuffed animal and a few others.

We were back at the hotel now packing our things since check-out was at 10

"Thank you both for this, it was the most fun I have had in a long time" Jo says and walks over to us

"You both are welcome, Kara and I enjoyed seeing you happy" I say and they smile,

Once we were all set we went ahead and took our things to the Jet so we could get it ready to go home

I was working on the codes while Kara was sitting on the couch with Emerys head in her lap. Those two were really close, both kids I feel are closer with Kara then they are me. She is more of a mother type then I am. I never had a mother who cared for me growing up so I know I'm not the best at this.

Kara though, she is wonderful, they kids adore her way more then they do me,

Karas POV

Emery was in my lap and I was running my fingers through her hair, she had gotten up really early this morning and we didn't get to bed till late last night
So I was Expecting her to fall asleep soon,

I looked over at Lena and she was putting the codes into her tablet, she was also thinking pretty hard about something, she has this one vain that stands out when she is deep in thought,

Once I knew Emery was asleep I gently moved her and I got up and walked over to Lena And sat down next to her, and put my hand on her thigh and she relaxes and looks over at me.

"What's going on?" I ask her

"Nothing, the plane is about to take off here soon though" she says and gets up and we all put out seatbelts on until we are steadily in the air, once we were good I got back up and moved over to Lena

"Lee" I say and she looks over at me

"Kara I'm fine" she smiles and I shake my head,

"But you have that vain, right there. It's noticeable when you are deep in thought" I point out and she sighs

"I was just thinking about you and the girls, that's all" she tells me

"What about?" I ask and lay my head in her lap looking up at her, and she runs her fingers through my hair before she starts talking again

"Just how amazing you are with them and how much they love you" she smiles

"Lena... they love you just as much, you're a wonderful mother to them, I don't want you thinking otherwise" I say and she smile

" I love you" she says and leans down to kiss me

"I love you more" I smile

I laid in her lap the rest of the flight and once we landed something odd was happening, my vision was out of sorts and it's like I was seeing double or maybe even through things

"Kara darling, are you okay?" Lena ask me and I don't respond

I had my eyes shut because once I opened them it was all messing with my head at once
