"What was that about?" Haechan asked, grabbing her shoulder and spinning her around right as she walked out of the classroom with Sungchan.

"Hey, lay your hands off of her." Sungchan growled, knocking his hand away from her.

"Back off, Jung." Haechan replied with a glare. "News flash: as much as I hate to say it, we're on the same team now. I'm not gonna hurt her, so chill the fuck out. We just need to talk."

Sungchan didn't budge, staring down the shorter boy with narrowed eyes.

"Can you call off your watch dog?" Haechan sighed, turning to Minji with a frown.

"Go home, Sung, I'll be right behind you." She said, nodding at her best friend.

"Fine. You know who to call if he tries anything." With a final glare, Sungchan turned down the hall and disappeared.

"What did Felix want?" Haechan asked once they were left alone.

"Not here," Minji replied, seeing the school hallway busy with students all trying to leave the building for the day.

She grabbed his arm and dragging him down the hallway, allowing the two of them to be carried with the flow of the students out of the building and onto the school grounds.

"Felix threatened me." She said lowly.

"Threatened you?"

"Yeah. Well, not me. Us. NCT. He threatened NCT."

Haechan's eyes widened.

"How did he know we were onto them?" He asked nervously.

"I guess Jisung and Chenle weren't careful enough yesterday. He said they knew we were picking around their files." She sighed out, seeing the worried look on Haechan's face.

"What else did he say?"

"He just was talking about 'the hunt' and how they love the chase and some bullshit. He said to tell Taeyong to be extra careful about what we do next." She whispered nervously. "He threatened to hurt Sungchan and the rest of the gang."

"Are you fucking kidding me?" He growled out in response, his eyes darkening.

"I wish I was. Felix said we're safe for now, but they're watching us. They plan to kill us all eventually."

"Thats not going to happen." He said lowly.

"You're right. It won't. It can't. We can't let it get there." She said as he let out an amused huff.

"And how would you-"

"Before you make some smartass comment about me not being skilled enough to protect the gang," she interjected, cutting him off with a warning look. "remember that we're on the same side now. Whether you like me or not we will be working together. End of story."

"Bleh bleh bleh" he said with a mocking tone. "I'm only cooperating because I'm being forced."

"Obviously, dumbass, you think I'd willingly talk or work with you?" She snapped back.

"I don't get why the other members like you so much." He grumbled.

"Because unlike you, they can actually hold a conversation with me without spitting insults at me." She replied with a pout.

He just rolled his eyes, grumbling incoherently to himself.

"Come on, let's get out of here." She said, looking around at the empty school grounds. "With SKZ watching us, I don't like being here alone. I'll drive."
