"Knock knock, can I come in?"

Minji turned to the door, sighing as she slipped her gun into her holster. After staying in the past night and talking with Sungchan, she had an extra long hit list to take care of for the night.

"Sure, door's open." She called, checking over her things one more time as the door opened and Sungchan walked in.

"Going out again?" He asked quietly, seeing her packing up.

"Yeah, Sung, I'm sorry. I know you don't like it but I just have to do this. It helps get my mind off of things." She said with an apologetic glance.

"I don't think you're going to want to do that tonight...."

"Sungchan, I have to. It's-"

"Just wait. I think there's something else you'd rather do right now." He replied, cutting her off and turning to the door. "Come on in."

Minji's eyes widened as Haechan walked into her room. It felt like years since she last saw him standing in her doorway, a nervous smile on his face as he looked at her.

"What is going on?" She asked her best friend.

"Just stay. Stay and listen alright? I'll see you tomorrow." Sungchan said, giving her arm a quick squeeze before walking out of the room.

"Hey." He said sheepishly, watching as she slipped her bag off her shoulders. "It's, uh, it's been a while."

"Yeah, it has." She replied, crossing her arms over her chest. "What's up?"

"Just uh.... h-how've you been?" He stuttered out awkwardly, causing her to roll her eyes.

"Honestly Haechan? Not great. We kissed and then you bailed. I like you, but I respect it if you don't return the feelings. I just thought that we were good enough friends that you wouldn't shut me out." She said quietly. "It hurt."

"I'm sorry..."

"Look, it's fine." She said with a sigh. "Do what you need to do, I'll figure it out. So, what did you really come here to talk to me about?"

"Uh... just wondering if you wanted to.... join us for movie night?" He asked slowly.

She just rolled her eyes, picking up her bag again and walking towards the door.

"I don't have time for this, Haechan, I'm not joking around. If you don't have anything serious to talk to me about, I have to go." She tried to push past him but he quickly grabbed onto her arm.

"Wait, don't go. I have something to say."

She looked at him for a moment, contemplating what to do. With a sigh, she nodded her head, seeing the desperate look in his eyes pulled on her heart as she took a seat.

"I miss you, Minji." Her eyes widened in shock. "You're like fire and ice, and it scares me, but I love that about you. I love the way you're so soft and sweet at home but so strong and selfless on the field. I love the way you don't back down from anyone, and continuously put me in my place. I love the way I can talk to you about anything and the way you make me smile. I love the way you make me feel, and I don't want that to stop. I want to be with you, Minji."

"You... what?" She was shocked, her jaw dropped as she looked at him with a mix of confusion and happiness.

"I know I messed up and I know you're hurt, I hurt you. But I never want to do that again, I promise I won't. It just took some time for me to stop running away and realize what I almost let go." He quickly approached her, gently grabbing hold of her hand with a soft smile on his face. "But I'm here now, and I'm not going anywhere. I'm going to fight for you. I'm not afraid anymore. I'm just sorry it took this long for me to realize it."

"You don't need to be sorry." She mumbled out softly, staring at him with stars in her eyes.

"Yes I do. I can see what it's done to you, I never want to make you feel like you're not good enough. You're more than good enough for me, if anything I'm the one who's not good enough. You're way out of my league and I totally don't deserve you, but I'm just hoping you'll forgive me and give me a chance to-"

She cut off his rambling, wrapping her hands around the back of his neck and pulling him in for a kiss. She could feel like smile as he began to kiss back, this time, neither of them wanting to pull away.

"So I'd assume that's a yes?" He asked, cupping her face with a smile.

She just chuckled, nodding her head and pulling him in for another sweet kiss.
