"you're not strong enough to withstand this storm." he said with a mocking tone.
"baby, i don't need to withstand the storm." you smiled "i am the storm."

YOU SMELLED THE CITY OF SINS BEFORE KIRISHIMA LANDED. now the smoke and ash weren't the only things filling your nostrils. the thick smell of iron from spilled blood was heavy. an invisible metallic veil over the air you breathed. it made your stomach churn and your hold on bakugou's waist a bit tighter.
"relax. it'll be okay. you're fine." bakugou said softly. his voice low and only meant for your ears.
in and out.
you inhaled and exhaled repeatedly, calming your nerves with every breath as the ash blond sat still with his back against your chest, giving you the space you much needed.
with a small nod against his back, you finally loosened your grip and retracted your arms, ready to open your wings and fly back down to the ground.
but bakugou was quick to grab your wrist, now twisting his body enough to face you "don't" his tone urgent, an obvious warning.
you remembered the group of demonic creatures attacking you the day you landed in hell for the first time. something about cutting your wings and selling them on their black market. it was probably best not to show them again.
"right" you said finally. bakugou kept his hand wrapped around your wrists a few seconds longer before finally letting go.
he stood on the back of the dragon and opened his wings. you didn't think he'd have any since the wings of all fallen angels burn into ash. a sign of their fall.
but his were there. right between his shoulder blades. though instead of white, they were a dark red, almost mahogany, and instead of feathery wings of birds they resembled ones of bats with a black sharp claw at the peak of each arch.
you were so deep in thought, taking in the sight in front of you, that you didn't notice bakugou's stretched out waiting hand.
so you yelped in surprise when he reached down and grabbed you by the waist before flying you both back down to the ground.
"that was unnecessary." you yelled and turned around to face him as soon as your toes touched the ground.
"you were so repulsed you couldn't even move. i had no choice." he explained bored as if it was the most obvious response.
