Welp, I reached 50K reads, and got ranked 4th in #Highschool which gained me 1K reads in a day 👀 I'm in a good mood, so I thought I'll update the next chapter.

P.S. The edits are still going on. I'm doing it here, and there without any order, I haven't completed the first chapter and I can't upload it from in between.

CHAPTER 53
Exhilarate Mothers-in-law and Agitated Lovers

"I can't believe that I finally cooked!" I exclaimed, watching my mom take the lasagna from the oven, stove, sink, or whatever it was called.

"Blake, I cooked. You watched," my mom said.

"No, I cooked." I narrowed my eyes at her.

"I'll ask one of the maids to set this up in the dining room," my mom said, placing it on the kitchen counter.

"We're eating in my room," I informed.

"Blake, I don't feel comfortable having two teenagers alone in a bedroom."

"You didn't have any problems with it before."

"That was before you told me that you had been having sex with her for three years," she said.

"This is why I don't tell you things," I pointed out, making her sigh.

"She has no family, so I let you stay with her so that she wouldn't be lonely. I never thought you would take advantage of me like that," she scolded.

"Mom, can we not?" I groaned.

"How many girls have you been with?"

"How does it matter?" I asked, waving a hand.

"Did you always use condoms with them?" she asked.

"Yes," I replied.

"With Addelyn?"

"We don't have much time before she gets here. I'm going to take the food up to my room." I picked up the tray, and she grabbed my hand, stopping me.

"You'll drop it. I'll get someone to take it up," she said, making me roll my eyes. "And you have to stop dodging my questions!"

"I don't want to talk about my sex life with my mom," I told her as she took the lasagna from my hand, placing it on the counter.

"Then can we talk about your love life?"

"No," I grumbled.

"Oh, come on, Blake. My son is in love!" she gushed, grabbing my face.

"Do not embarrass me like this when Lynne's here," I warned, earning a chuckle. She loosened her grip on me, and I sighed, walking out of the kitchen.

My dad sat in the living room with his head buried in his phone. As I entered, he looked up, smiling at me.

"All set for your date?" he asked.

"It's not a date, dad."

"If it's not a date, why did you buy..." he trailed off, clicking on his phone and reading, "twenty scented candles, a floral table arrangement, and here comes the best part—two chairs and a table? That too all after this afternoon. I saw the bill, Blake."

"It's for dinner," I said.

"Did you really need a new set of table and chairs?"

"I didn't have much time; I panicked!" I exclaimed.

"Blake, yo—"

"Love you too, dad. I'll be upstairs." Interrupting him, I ran up to my room.

Two maids set up the table, so I walked into my bathroom, taking my phone out. Dialing Asher's number, I let it ring for a few seconds before he picked.
