CHAPTER 19
Pesky Intruders and Late Mornings

My head is pounding and my phone is screeching in my ears. What a great way to start the day!

I reached out to the side table and answered my phone before placing it against my ear.

"What?" I snapped at whoever was on the other side.

"Is this a bad time?" A voice that I recognized as Hazel's asked.

"Yes, it is."

"I don't care." She said, "I'm coming over."

"What? It's early in the morning. Some people like to sleep."

"Early in the morning?" She asked, "It's noon, idiot."

"It's still early for me. I'm going back to bed." I grumbled.

"Wait, I'm already ou–" I cut her off by hanging up before turning the other side and snuggling closer to Blake who was still asleep beside me.

Enjoying his warm body against mine, I was about to fall asleep again when the door swung open.

"What the fuck?" I cursed and sat up straight, holding my blanket to cover my body.

"Rise and shine, my little angel!" Hazel exclaimed as she walked into the room, followed by Asher.

"Oh, there's a demon too." She said, taking a glance at Blake's sleeping figure.

"Get out!" I yelled at both of them.

"Ouch, stop shouting! My ears." Asher complained, "And is that asshole still sleeping?"

Asher walked towards Blake and slapped his cheek. In response, he grumbled in his sleep before turning towards me and snuggling into his pillow.

"What did you even do last night?" Asher asked.

"I don't want to know." Hazel grimaced, "I'm going downstairs." She said.

"Could you get me a glass of water, please?" I asked her and she nodded before exiting the room.

"So?" Asher asked.

"We went out, got drunk and it was really late by the time we came home." I answered him.

"Came home and then......" Asher trialed off with a smirk.

"You are so weird!" I scolded taking Blake's pillow from under his head and throwing it straight at Asher's face.

He laughed, looking at the pillow that just hit him. "Oh, come on. I just want to know what happened after the pep talk I gave you."

I ignored him and turned towards Blake's adorable face as he slept so innocently, despite the pillow being taken from under his head.

"Oh, by the way, I invited Kate, Jack and Cole too." Asher informed.

"Why?" I groaned as my head fell back on to my pillow

"To hang out." He replied, "It's a Sunday. What else are we supposed to do?"

"Fine." I sighed just as Hazel entered the room with my glass of water.

"Thank you." I said before taking it from her and emptying the whole glass onto Blake's face.

He jolted up from the bed and rapidly shook his head before looking at me.

"What the hell, Lynne?"

Hazel laughed before taking the glass from me and walking out of the room again.
