CHAPTER 23
Dejected Hearts and Tipsy Disasters

Can this all just be a nightmare?

I wish this wasn't real but it was. That actually happened.

My perfect fairytale came to an end because I wasn't a good enough to be a princess to my prince. But flawless little Terra probably is. She's not selfish. She's not inconsiderate. And she's not controlling. She's the ideal princess and I'm the evil witch who keeps driving her away from him.

I slowly opened my eyes and was greeted with the sight of Blake sitting on a couch in my bedroom, staring at his phone.

After I got home from the diner, I immediately went to bed. I didn't say a single word to him. I didn't know what to say. I love him. But instead of showing him that, all I did was hurt him.

As soon as Blake noticed my open eyes, he got up and walked over to the bed.

He kneeled down next to me with a faint smile on his face. "Hey"

"Umm, hey." I greeted back.

"I got you breakfast." He said before quickly getting up, walking over to the table and taking a plastic bag out.

"McDonalds breakfast meal, no eggs with hot chocolate." He said handing over the packet. "Just the way you like it."

"Thanks." I said. taking it from him and placing it on my nightstand.

"Well, it's actually the evening right now." He said, climbing on the bed and lying down next to me. "You could have it as dinner maybe." He suggested and I nodded.

He looked at me for a few second before lifting this hand to softly caress my cheek.

"I'm sorry, Lynne." He said, "I'm really, really sorry. I said some things in the moment of anger and I didn't mean it."

"It's fine." I said.

"No, it's not. I was really out of line, Lynne. Please don't be mad at me." He begged.

"I'm not mad at you." I said, "I deserved that."

"No, you didn't. Lynne, you didn't deserve that. I shouldn't have said that." He said, closing his eyes with a sigh.

"It's alright, Blake. You were right."

"No, I wasn't. I didn–"

"Can you stop disagreeing with everything I say?" I asked.

"I'm sorry." He said.

I smiled and kissed his cheek before getting up from my bed.

"Why don't we go out?" I asked.

"Go out?" He asked raising an eyebrow and I nodded.

"Alright." He smiled, "Where do you want to go?"

"Let's go get a drink." I said, making him frown.

"Are you sure?" He asked, "If you still have some problems about this morning, I don't think you should be drinking."

"No, I'm sure I want to drink." I said, "Jack's Club?"

"Okay." He said unsurely.

"Call Asher and ask him to invite the rest." I told him and he nodded. "Oh, also call Luke. Asher would never invite him." I said and he chuckled before walking out of the room.

I entered the bathroom and walked up to the mirror to examine my face. My nose was an awkward shade of red and I had a little mascara smudged around my puffy eyes.
