CHAPTER 29
Furious Interruptions and Painful Wounds

"Hey," he said as soon as I opened the door, sounding a little confused as to why he was here.

Without any words, I grabbed his hand and pulled him to the living room. He gave me a puzzled look as I pushed him to the couch and climbed on top of him, straddling his waist.

"Addy, what are you doing?" He asked.

"I'm going to kiss you, Cole." I said before planting my lips on his. The moment I started kissing him, he put his hands on my face and pulled it away from him.

"Really? You're just going to kiss me?" He asked.

"No, we're going to do other things too." I smirked before dipping my head to the nape of his neck and sucking on his skin.

"Addy, this is sexual assault." He stated and I lifted my head with an eyeroll.

"It's not sexual assault if you give me consent."

"I didn't." He said.

"Why not though?" I asked him, "You're hot. I'm extremely hot. And we're both teenager who just want to have sex."

"No, you're a teenager who wants to have sex. I just want to go home and sleep." He said.

I groaned, "Why do you talk so much?"

"Because I have a few concerns when you send me home just to call me back the minute I enter my house. And then you start kissing me." He said.

"So?"

"Addy, why are you doing this?" He asked me softly.

I got off him and plopped down on the couch before burying my head in my hands.

"Addy, what's wrong?" He asked, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"I saw them kiss." I said in a low voice, looking up at him and his eyes widened.

"Uh.... w-who?" He asked.

"This is not the time to be dumb, Cole!" I scolded.

"A-Are you sure it was her?" He asked with a sense of hope, "It could've been any other girl."

"It was her, Cole." I spoke.

"B-But that's not fair." He whispered, "I-I love her. She can't be with him."

"The harsh truth is that she does not love you, Cole." I said coldly, "Just like he does not love me."

"But what did I do wrong?" He asked, "I've always been there for her. And then she goes after some guy she barely knows."

"I know how that feels. It really sucks."

"What am I supposed to do?" He asked, "I've loved her way too long to let go off her."

"If someone does not have feelings for you, I guess that's it. You can't do anything about it and you have to let go." I said and Cole looked at me sadly.

"For the two months that he didn't talk to her, I spent every single second with him, hoping he would love me back. But he didn't, so I gave up." I said, "Then Asher told me that he wanted me. Only me. And I had brought back this little hope inside me. But what I saw tonight made me realize how wrong that was. He would never want me the way I want him."

"I wish things were different." He sighed.

He looked at me and I slowly brought my face closer to his.

"Addy, we shouldn't do this."

"Why not?" I asked, moving closer until our lips were brushing against each other.
