Soon, the day bleed to a dark night by the time Iracebeth snuck out of their poor shack.
The clock stroke at midnight and since it was winter the streets were more lonesome and frightening by the time her footprints pressed on the snow.
Fortunately since the house was by the sea shore, the raging waves roared by the side.
Yet, Iracebeth was an extremely sincere and responsible person.
Her footprints softly stepped on the snow as she crept like a mice. Her bright eyes lurked all around the space cautiously.
The blowing wind was too cold and powerful that they pushed her steps backwards. They made her feel like she would freeze before she could even return back home. But, memory of the repeated signs she has been getting from those 'aliens..' forced her pull her thick hood over her chest and continue to trail through the tough path.
Though Iracebeth Crimms was an extremely fearless person like all people, she did have two grave fears in her life that taunted her badly. And, they were..
1) Those people were powerful enough to hurt the children..
And..
2) She was meeting them.. Today.. this night.. For the very first time..
Our fears often has it's origins on the unknown things. In such a way, Iracebeth feared these people since she had very less communication to and from them.
For starters, she didn't even know how they looked like.
Their arrival was sudden.
Her adapted hometown was not called Forbidden Slum flocked junk beach for nothing.
Usually, The noblemen and the residents of the Fairytale town either feared or loathed this place, due to it's strange faceless residents who had survived an abandoned and rejected life simply because they were forgotten to be named by the Three Fates for several generation. And, if they were not, these misfortuned ones were used and thrown away by the lucky.
However, the motives of people seemed different from the usuals.
If not they wouldn't have tried making petty threats like pulling up sudden typhoon attacks on the children while they fetched food through fishing, landslides where the kids barely managed to survive or simple hollow noises in the middle of the nights that haunted them to insanity.
Their disturbances were havoc to Iracebeth and the children!
Their threats started with them demanding few of the strong potions, she had stolen during her usual theft rides. Then, it went on to more sophisticated stuff that can only be found in rare highly secured places like the newly found science lab and the Fairytale Palace. Their demands even directed to the town museum.
Iracebeth stole all these things for her personal interest. And, sure she also discovered that by working with them in this indirect manner she could also discover where the things she wanted lied as they gave out the specimen's hidden locations.
But, that was it.
She hated these people who hurt her family. She wanted nothing else with them.
Unfortunately, these people seemed to be more interested in her than she thought.
And the reason was, the end goal of of Iracebeth and the intruders were one and the same.
Acquiring the ' The Ancient forth dimension Hellantic magic that was powerful enough to cause the pause in the timelines on the stories of this Fiction World'
Iracebeth always read her ancient classics even before she met Valentine and the other children. But, she never believed they were real before she encountered this phenomenon.
