In a blink of an eye, few days passed without me even noticing them. And, the day for the 'Who's the strongest?' tournaments for the freshers of Crimson Foxes finally arrived.

We had regular classes in the morning but, by the noon times, the teachers quickly winded up things and made the students of our house from all the four sections to assemble on the school's play grounds.

The path to the school grounds were through an empty wilderness surrounded with long brown grasses.

The area was seemingly frightening and though there was one certain black road that directly linked to the dense forest that stood right behind the school's back gate enterence we knew that the place was still prone to hazardous wild animals on the loose.

But, nevertheless this was the place where our P. E internal exams were gonna take place. And, that was the many lines of students were crossing before us, to reach the center of the ground where the actual events would take place along with their class teachers.

Our homeroom teacher, Ms Candice lead us through the grounds too.. Like the other homeroom teachers but, by the time we reached half way through the place, she didn't want to join us.

The reason was probably because she had munched way too much nachos right in front of us in the classroom's teacher's table while painting her nails with a hot red nail polish and had already gotten continuous direct and indirect curses from her beloved starving students.

Ms Candice had been holding her tummy with a grim face for a while now and this was the reason our class has been stalled up in a certain area while the other classes passed us with disgusted faces.

"Are you sure you can handle this mam? " Alice who had ended up standing with her just like me on the line asked Ms Candy looking conserned.

Ms Candy was almost moved to tears by Alice's hospitality.

"Yes.. Yes.. I can dear.." She said rubbing her stomach with one arm and placed her other on Alice's shoulder. "This is why a responsible teacher like me should stay sleeping in class and not munch nachos.. "

She said regretfully and I wanted to spit.

'You shouldn't be doing any of that in class, alright?'

"Water.. I need some water.." Ms Candice squeaked with a sick blue face and threw up more vermin on the grass.

I immediately took out the water bottle from my backpack and hand it over to this irresponsible teacher.

The teacher grabbed the bottle, hastily drank the water and then looked up at my face.

"You sure this isn't poison, right?" She asked and I really wanted to bang my head on the tree.

It's alright if you wouldn't thank me. But, at least don't insult my guesture like this..

.. though your suggestion is not bad idea too... I thought seriously but, soon quietened them with a plastic smile.

I looked up the hot sky and saw the sun blazing on us. A bird pluck few twigs from the ground chirping and stuffed it into it's half built nest in a certain tree. The brown colored grasshoppers hopped when the students behind us on the line stomped the brown grass. And, the sound of the students chattering about how best they have to perform for earning their internal PE exam marks was all around the place.

It was supposed to be a great day but..

I let out a deep breath.

It is already bad enough that Ms Candice has to have an upset stomach at a time like this. And, to think how excited I had been for this great day- the day I could finally show my true worth to the people around me.
