At the quick turn of events that were more faster than a flip of a page, I stood on the barren basketball court biting my lips in anxiety and confusion when Merida's voice disturbed my thoughts.

"So, Um.. Rottenstein?"

Merida asked standing beside me puffing her breath as though she was mentally preparing for the game.

"You do know how to play right? " The bully grinned sheepishly.

"You didn't even know that and boldly challenged them?? Are you crazy!? " I was completely bewildered at her logic.

"I just got lost in the flow, okay? " I wanted to play against you. Never with you? I mean, you are Iracebeth's companion, A person who had always given me a hard time to capture her! Why would I want to be with you? " The gum chewing girl immediately spat looking frustrated.

I made a facepalm.

I knew it.

Just what did I say before?
She really did say those words on a momentary fit, things unfortunately did go out of her expectations..

A certain boy who acted as the game's referee blew the whistle and the basketball rolled towards us with series of 'thomp' sounds.

"Well, the feeling is mutual!"

I said quickly running forward and bounced the ball towards the opposite court like a gust of wind.

Many boys were commenting about how much skill I lacked and had to stay home instead of playing games like this, as they tried snatching the ball but, none of their voices disturbed me.

And, in few seconds.

"Wow. It went in! A three point shot! "

The referee shouted as the other four boys opened their jaws in unison.

"S-She.. D-Did she.. Really.. " They wanted to squeak when Merida placed her hand on her hip and winked at me.

"Hmm.. Nice.. You've got skill, girl! "

She commented and I waved of my hair in front of those guys showing off my vigor.

"Oh.. Please, for a girl who spent half of her free times in the forest.. This is a piece of cake. "

"The forest!! Eeeeeek! What are you girl, a tribal?? "

Hearing that one of the boys who was bouncing the ball gasped in fear when Merida grabbed it from him in his distracted state.

She bounced the ball all the way to the opposite net and even if the guys tried stopping her she simply kicked them off the path.

And, there it was.

A second three point kick!

The whistle blew again and the ball reached Merida who threw yet another perfect back to back loop right on the net once again.

This time it was my turn to get impressed of her raw talents. Having lived as a nobel on my fairytale, the basic etiquette of a Lady is being gentle and graceful. According to my mother sports like this are prohibited in a nobel's household for all the ladies (excluding the fact that they could train the basic martial arts for self protection)

And, no maid, no madam, no duchess, no teacher and absolutely no lead woman in charge of the entire household was exempted from this rule.

But, being a bright teenager who had always wanted to change her destiny as the weak villaness stepsister through hardwork and effort, I learnt all these forbidden skills secretly.
