I am so pumped up!
Today is the day I am going on a date with Iracebeth. Of course, even I know that we are just shopping at the Fairytale Market Place for buying a few necessities that our class has demanded. But, still!
Iracebeth was never the kind of person who volunteered to spend time with me, personally.
If this goes on... I would be Iracebeth's closest friend. We would have so much fun together. And-And...
"Have you decided what to buy mam?" The shopkeeper's loud sharp yelling diverted my attention back from my daydream.
"Yes. Yes." I abruptly answered her cry and grabbed the things I have already collected in my hands.
"Put all these in the bill"
Iracebeth who observed me from the corner of her line of sight asked me softly.
"You seem excited? Is this your first time here?"
"No! But its my first time with a friend. And, its with you of all people. I am so happy that we get to shop together, Iracebeth! It makes us seem as though we are best friends!"
I paused immediately. The realization of the possibility that Iracebeth might think that I am being too forward frightened me.
"Um. I-I didn't mean that. I just meant...."
However, out of the blue, a smile, ever so small, bloomed on Iracebeth's lips.
"You are so silly as always. You are saying this as though this is the last time we would shop together."
I froze at her unexpected words. I stood still on the ground not knowing how to react, but Iracebeth had already started walking ahead.
"Iracebeth! Wait!"
I finally caught her up.
My eyes peered at her figure on the side and I looked away quickly when our eyes clashed.
Yup. I am not mistaken.
Its too strange....
It's really too strange... I feel as though Iracebeth has finally started opening up to me after all those months. Her recent behavior is so peculiar that our friendship does not seem one sided at all right now. Is it really true? Can I willingly delude myself with her current behavior?
Well. I smiled at the thought. Being friends with the person I always wanted be friends with....
It is not a bad feeling.
I thought following Iracebeth when she suddenly stopped her steps.
"Oh... That's..." Iracebeth started.
"What is it?" I asked her.
"Ya, sir. I know I might look like a foreigner and perhaps I am. B-But you cannot cheat me with these goods. I know this market w-well. And how dare you try to rise the price to a p-person like me?"
The familiar voice of an awkward middle aged man resounded from a certain store.
"Well, How am I supposed to trust the words of a gwanky wacho like you? Oh, look at you.. Just, how tall are you? You look like you might touch my shop's roof?!"
"What- What??? You are calling me a wacho??? As in a weirdo??? H-How dare you, peasant?? I may be tall but I am not a gwanky weirdo! Do you know who I am?? I am-"
Green mana circled around the man. His purple eyes gleamed with anger. If this goes on. I realised immediately. ..He was about to blow up his cover and jumped right in.
