Chapter 2

I woke up the the morning to the smell of fresh air and sea breeze. As I sat up on my bed to get my day started I think of what happened last night
*I'm so lucky I'm not at home I would never do that with someone I know.*
I got ready to go to work pulling my bright orange McLaren jumper over my head paired with black skinny jeans and a pair of black all stars. I redid my hair 7 times trying to make it look perfect. Today was the day my life was changing forever, I had to have good hair.
As I walked out of the hotel lobby the smell of fresh baked goods suffocated me but I was too nervous to eat. I drove to the track and walked down the paddock towards the McLaren garage.
Passing my old team mates at Williams brought tears to my eyes but I knew moving was the best option for me. "6 out of 20 drives are rookies this year !! 6" I overheard a journalist say behind me.
She was right, that is a lot of new faces to get used to.

As I walked into McLaren's hospitality room we locked eyes. I turned around and walked back to the main garage.
*there's no way, no no no fucking way did I sleep with the new McLaren driver. Omg how did I not realize it was him.*
As I panicked internally I put my fake smile on and walked to Zak.
"Heyyy y/n!!!" Squealed Zak with existent.
You quickly replied "Zak hey, thank you again so much for this job it means everything to me"
"I'm glad I could give you your dream job but before you start this morning I need you to sign this contract for me"-Zak
You nervous looked at him and smiled "ya for sure"
The contract read:
You can not be sexually active with any other member of the team.
You can not have relationships with any other member of the team.
You will not give out private info about the team to the press.
You sign the contract and hand it back to Zak.
Curiously you ask "Sorry I'm not fully sure what my job here at McLaren actually consist of? Am I radio or engineering?"
"The new rookie Lando Norris, you will be his personal assistant. So I won't see you too often but you will spend a lot of time with him" Zak replied with a whole smile on his face
A worried look grew on my face "oh ya sounds good"
"Are you sure? You seem shocked" Zak replied as he noticed my change of expression.
"No I just didn't expect such an important roll so fast, I was expecting to get everyone coffee for the next year until I earn my place but I guess things are done differently around here compared to at Williams." I say trying to cover up my reaction.
Zak and I talk some more in detail and so i understand exactly what i have to do.

After talking i head to Lando's dressing room like i was asked. As I walk up the stairs toward his room I start to feel more at ease than I did this morning. I knock softly on the door and wait. As the dot opens I am left standing there staring into his eyes. To break the silence I look away and look back "Zak told me to introduce myself but we've done that already so let's skip the name and age thing, I'm new here and somehow with my luck I am your personal assistant."
Lando looks at you with a confused look "I'm sorry I didn't get your name am I meant to know you?"
"Are you kidding me!!" I turn around and go to storm off
I go to walk as I feel a hand on my shoulder turning me around "I was joking y/n, but I get it it's early in the morning no time for sarcasm I'm sorry" Lando say while holding me back.
"Your not funny just saying" i said snakily.
"Ow that hurt my feelings. Personal assistant though, so I get to boss you around?" He says proudly with a smirk on his face
I giggle,
"Ya you wish other way around actually, I get to tell you what to do and when to do it. I'm like a living breathing agenda."
Lando's smirk leaves his face as I look up at him
"How am I meant to be bossed around by someone nearly half my size Lando pouts.
After a while of lando and I getting to know each other more a reminder lights up my phone that read "LANDO INTERVIEW"
I hop off my seat and grab Lando's arm " let's go you have place to be and people to please"
"Ya ya ya I'm coming" he says dreadfully
