I hear someone shout my name from afar. I'm soon brought back to reality as I feel someone tighten me into a long hug. "It's ok, your ok" I hear lando say after a moment. "Are you- are-" I stutter as tears stream down my face. "I'm ok" he reassures me pulling me out of his tight grip. "Stop crying, I'm here" he whips my tears away holding my face cupped in his hands. "Lando we need you in the pit wall to discuss what happened" one of his engineers called. "Ya I'm kind of busy right now so can it not wait" he snaps back. "No- no I'm fine ... you should- you should go" I stutter still sobbing. "You clearly aren't, it's fine they can wait. Come with me" he says gently guiding me out of the garage and back to his driver room in the motor home. "Lando really you need to go back" I say whipping the last of my tears off my face after a moment. "No I don't, they can wait it's not important" "Finding out what happened is pretty important in my opinion" "And in my opinion your more important right now so shut up and let me comfort you" "I'm being dramatic, it's not like we are together or anything, I'm just someone that works with you" "Don't say that, please don't say you see me just as someone you work with" "I- I don't even work with you anymore, I work with Daniel Now" "So I'm just a nobody to you?" "No- well technically I guess but no, I think of you as-" I stop and think about what I'm about to say. "Never mind" "No tell me" "No it's nothing I don't know" "I love you y/n, more than anything you know that?" Lando i-" "No. I'm not arguing, I love you I don't care, I would give up my seat here if I meant I could be with you, if I knew how you felt I would find a way for us to be together no matter what because when it comes down to it, this job, these people, won't be around forever, at some point in my life I have to leave this all behind, but you, I want to be with you every moment of everyday until I take my last breath." He says in a rush, like he's been waiting to get it out for ages. "I love you, I will always love you, but we both know this won't work if someone sees us together, we've already caused the Team so much trouble" "Right now I don't care about the team, do your or do you not want to be with me y/n?" "I-I do I really do but-" I get cut off as he pulls me closer and cups my face in his hands. "Then that's it" he says and kisses me softly. "So, that's it we're just together now?" I ask confused. "Yes, but not officially, I want to make that moment special for you, so right now you are not my girlfriend but your still mine" he says trying to explain as best as possible. "Lando norris you confuse me so much more than you know" I giggle. "And I love you so much more than you will ever know but right now I should probably go back to the pit wall for discussion, I'll see you soon ok" he says kissing my forehead "See you soon" I smile as he walks back to the garage. After the race I go back to the hotel to get ready for the team dinner later that evening, that I wasn't going to go to but ever since my talk with lando I felt better and decide to go. I look through my suitcase to find an orange outfit for this evening ( considering we have to wear team colours) Outfit:

Lando text me as I'm getting ready and we agree to go to the dinner together. I told him I'd meet him in reception at 6:30. Once I'm ready I grab my phone and keys and head to the elevator to go down to reception. Once the doors open I see Lando standing by the main door on his phone. He's wearing black jeans with a black top that has small orange details. He usually never looks this formal for dinner, he's always in black tracksuit pants. "Well you look... different" I giggle making him look up from his phone. "I thought I'd make an effort, I was think maybe we could go somewhere after together, just us?" He asks. "You could have told me that before I decided to wear heels" "We can go buy you new shoes before we go" he smiles. "Norris, just because you make millions a year and can afford to buy new shoes everytime you walk doesn't mean I can too" I sarcastically say rolling my eyes. "Your making this a big deal" he says holding my hand and guiding me to the McLaren parked outside. We go to dinner and while we are waiting for our food to come lando excuses himself from the table and leaves.

After just over 15 minutes the food is served and lando still isn't back. I start to overthink. Has he really left? I thought he wanted to go somewhere alone after? Has he changed his mind? Does he not like me anymore? We all start to eat and talk, Daniel is talking to me about the race and he is thanking me for how well I organized his interviews over the weekend when Lando walks back in. I look at him and mouth the words I hate you as he sits next to me again. "Your foods cold Mate" daniel laughs and lando giggles back. "Thanks for leaving me, really appreciate it" I say once everyone starts talking among themselves again. "I did it for you, stop complaining" he says placing his hand on my thigh.
After dinner everyone says there goodbyes and me and lando go back to his car. Once I open the door I see a bunch of flowers and a shoe box on the passenger seat. "That's why you left dinner" I laugh. "Yup" he smiles getting in I pick up the flowers and shoe box and get in placing them on my lap. "I think there your size. Size 5.5 right?" He asks "Ya.. how did you know" I ask curious. "We lived together for awhile remember? I've seen your shoes before" he smiles. Thoughts of when me and Lando used to stay over at each others houses every night flooded my brain. I missed that so much. I open the box to revel a pair of white Nike Air Force. "Really?" I laugh "Ya, you have a pair already I know, but you always say there so comfy so, I wanted you to be comfy" he smiles "I fucking love you" I laugh rolling my eyes changing from my heels into the nikes. "I love you too" he says taking my heels and putting them in the back of the car.
