I was lying in bed when I felt someone throw her arms around my waist and bury her face in my back. I turned my head just enough to catch a glimpse of her on the edges of my vision. I shift my gaze to the window, noticing the brilliant sunlight as an indication that it is already morning. I felt her hold tighten and draw me closer to her body, so I followed her and moved in her direction. I believe this is the nicest feeling I could have every morning.

"Hey why are you up so early this morning?" I asked with a raspy voice

"I was going to wake you up, but I think sleeping next you and hugging you is the nicest thing to do right now," she replied, her face resting on my back.

"Is there a problem?"

"Naah, I just want to spend the rest of my time with you; I'll miss you Unnie," she whispered, her lips pursed.

"Uhh, my little sissy is being extra sweet at this early morning, do you need anything?" I turn to face her and caress her with my hands on her back.

"No, I don't need anything. I'm telling you the truth, I'll miss you. it's only a week till I leave, won't you miss me?" She raised her eyes to me.

"Of course, I'll miss you, my darling, but you want that, right? It's for your own good "I stroked her cheeks and tucked her hair behind her ears.

I can sense her sadness in her voice as she just nods and buries her face against my neck. Being separated from one other is a huge adjustment for both of us because we have never lived apart before. Even on my business trips, if she does not have a school schedule, she will insist on accompanying me, especially if I will be gone for several days.

She's in her senior year and has been chosen as the school representative to be sent to Australia to finish her final year of college and begin her career in fashion design there. Knowing she will leave Korea in a week makes me sad, and a part of me wishes I could keep her from leaving, but I can't. I'm always proud of her accomplishments, and I know that moving to Australia will provide her with countless career opportunities. I'm just afraid about her being on her own for the first time because it'll be the first time I'll be away from her, even though I trust her and know she's responsible and already an adult.

"Hello, Unnie? Are you all right? Are we going to wake up and have breakfast or will you just stare at me and smile like a lunatic for the next few years?" That, she remarked, brought me back to reality.

"Yaah! Why don't you go to the kitchen and start preparing things on your own?""

"Unnie, I'm not a good cook, and I'm afraid I'm going to burn down the house. Please get up now, I really like your food," she said, flashing a gorgeous smile at me. How could I refuse this chipmunk?

I get out of bed and begin heading to the kitchen, yelling at her, "How will you live alone if you can't cook your own food?"

"There are plenty of restaurants in the area, so don't worry."

"Chaeyoung, dining out is never good for you. You need to learn to cook your own food. I already gave you my own cook book menu...just follow the instructions there, I customized it just for you," and yes, you are correct, Chaeng does not know how to cook, so I prepared a recipe book for her.

She hugged me with her arms around my waist, her head resting on my shoulder "I couldn't imagine my life without you, Jennie Unnie. You've been there since mom and dad left us and had their relationship goals in heaven, and I've never felt like mom and dad were already gone."

Because of what she said, I smiled. It's been two years since our parents died in a car accident, and I've seen how devastated my little chipmunk was. It flipped our world on its head. Chaeng, who had been a cheerful and energetic child, had become silent and introverted, locking herself up in her room and refusing to speak to anyone but me. Even though it is extremely painful, I must remain strong for my little sister and control my emotions; I must be there for her now that it is just me and her.
