Chapter 45

JENNIE'S POV

Weeks already passed and our schedule to Thailand is getting near, I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Excited because finally I have the previlege to meet the most improtant person to Lisa's life and nervous of what will happen after meeting them. Lisa wants us to use her private chopper going to Thailand she doesn't want to spend much time booking and waiting in the airport, if we can just used her chopper.

So far our relationship is still on that honeymoon stage as they called though lately we're having small fights but it's good that we're able to fixed and solved every problems that we have. I hope we can still manage every problems that we will encounter in the future.

"Ms. Kim?" Irene called while standing on the door step of my office which cut my thoughts

"Yes Irene?"

"The receptionist called, someone's looking for you"

"Who?" I asked her while rolling the pen to my fingers

"Kim Jong-in"

"Kai?"

Irene just nod and I know she's confused how come Kai's looking for me after so many years. I wasn't able to tell her that we met in the grocery before, since we're really busy advancing everything before I leave to Thailand. I instructed Irene to tell the receptionist to have Kai in my office, as they will not let him enter unless he has an appointment with me of course Lisa is an exemption.

"Ms. Kim he's here" Irene said and gestured to her to let him in

I took a deep breath before I stand on my feet praying that Lisa will not come to my office because that's the worst idea for now that Kai is here, but I can't just let him go since he a lot time to went here. The door open revealing this tall guy wearing white shirt and jeans.

"Hi Ms. Kim " he said and bow as paying respect

"Just call me Jennie drop the Ms." I said and lead him to the receiving area and let him sit on the couch. I asked Irene to make us some coffee.

"I'm sorry I came without any notice. I tried to call you but you're not answering your phone"

"Oh no worries, sorry bit busy lately. So what brings you here? How can I help?" I said and sipped my coffee

"The supermarket that I'm working laid off employees, and lucky to me I'm part of those who were laid off. I was just thinking if you have openings? I can do maintenance job since I know I'll not be qualified with other position because of lack of experience"

"Oh okay I see. Submit your papers to Irene and I'll have HR look into it. I know we have opening in Admin department which doesn't require any experience but expect for more paper works I guess? Is it something that you can consider?"

"Yes of course. Who am I to say no to opportunity"

"Okay that's great! Have some coffee" I said and gesture him to drink the coffee that Irene prepared

I can see in his eyes that he really needs help and I can't take it not helping him if I know to myself that I can do something. I pity him, loosing your own family is difficult but being disowned by your own family is way more hurtful and difficult. I know its his fault but everyone deserves second chances right? Sometimes we make decisions that we think would be the best and turns out it is not. I know Lisa will not like the idea of having him in my company but this is the least thing that I can do for him, I will just explain everything to her I know she'll understand.

"You're really successful Jennie, I'm so proud of you" he uttered while roaming his eyes around my office

"Thank you. I know you can do this Kai, you survive for how many years. I hope this opportunity will open more doors for you"
