Chapter 41

JENNIE'S POV

It's already the 2nd day of Lisa in Busan, I can't wait for tomorrow since she'll be coming home. The two days that she's in Busan we always do face time in the evening once I got home. She always make sure that I don't stay out late since she's not here to drive me home. Lisa's overprotective and sometimes possessive but I like her being like that, I can feel her love and scared of loosing me which I think most woman wants to feel. She never failed to make me feel special and always her priority.

Since the day that I moved in with her, she seldom hang out, she prefer going home straight and have dinner with me. It's been months also since the last time she went to a bar as she knows I don't want her drinking outside specially in places with full of bitches. Somehow we're like married couples, staying in one roof, making love almost every night since Lisa can't control her hormones well, I'm not complaining about that since Lisa's really good satisfying me. Sharing how our day went by, challenges that we have at work, our dreams together in the future, and sharing some of our decisions that we believe might have an impact to the both of us. We respect each others decision and we make sure to find time to discuss about it before anything else.

I decided to take the half day and went to the grocery to buy the stuff that I need for tomorrow. I'm planning to cook Lisa's favorite food, I'm sure she'll love it. I'm now strolling inside the supermarket looking for the ingredients that I need and decided to buy some other supplies that we need. While reading the the Nutritional Fact of the can goods that I'm holding some bump into my back that made my tummy hit the cart handle.

"Yah! Be---" I didn't finished my word when I saw the person who just bumped at me. My eyes widen seeing this familiar creature but he's very different from the last time that I saw him

"I 'm sorry Ma'am" he bowed in front of me apologizing

"Kai?" I said while looking at him

I'm not sure if I'm pertaining to the right person but I can't be mistaken. He's carrying a box and wearing the supermarket's uniform which means he's working here. His hair are long and he's really different from the Kai that I met college.

"Je-jennie?" She uttered which gave the sign that I'm right

"You work here?" He just nod with shyness in his eyes

I was shocked seeing him working in a supermarket, their family is well known in clothing industry. It's been so long since we talked, the last encounter that we had is when I discover that she cheated on me and impregnated one of my friends in college. We decided to catch up after his shift and I agreed with it since I'm really curious what happened to him, and I don't think Lisa would mind since Kai is my friend before we became couple.

I arrived at the café a bit late because Rosé called me and I need to answer it because we seldom talk lately. She just called to inform me that they'll be out of town tomorrow for their school immersion, that Chipmunk is really enjoying Australia.

"I thought you will ditch me earlier" he said after sipping his coffee

"Haha.. sorry Rosé called earlier that's why I got late"

"Ah I see, how's you little sister?"

"She's doing good about to graduate this year. Currently she's in Australia you know school program and stuff"

"Oh really? Haha also an achiever just like her big sister here"

After we had some coffee, we decided to walk in the park and continue sharing some stories. He told me that his family disowned him after the impregnating's issue he was involved in using drugs which leads for his dad to kick him out not just to their house but to the family. Because of that he needs to stand on his own and work for him to support his needs. He tried to apply to some companies and wasn't able to get accepted but lucky to him the supermarket accepted him despite of her background. Knowing his stories I pitted him at that very moment I wasn't expecting that to happen, well he has his flaws  too but I know he has a good side also. I gave him my business card, told him to call me if he needs a job or anything that I can help him. We walked back to the café since my car is there and it's almost midnight for sure Lisa is already calling me.

"Thank you for your time Jen, it's good to catch up after a long time"

"Thank you too, I'll go ahead now its already late"

"Yep. Drive safe and goodnight Jennie"

"Good night" I said and went to my car and drive my way home

I checked my phone while opening the door and saw alot of messages and missed calls from Lisa, she's been calling me for many times. I open the door and walked inside to the light switch direction to open the lights. I turned the lights on and walked towards our room while typing a message for Lisa.

"Where have you been?" I heard a raspy voice as I stand on our room door step,I know it's Lisa's voice.

"I thought you'll come home tomorrow?" I turned on the light and approached her as she's sitting on the couch inside our room to give her a kiss but she lean her head away from me

"I'm asking you where have you been? It's almost mid-night and you're still outside" her arms are crossed

"Honey, don't be mad I just catch up with a friend" I said and sit on her lap my arms wrapped on her nape

"Who's that friend? I called your office and Irene said you take a half day. What did I told you Jennie?" She uttered with a serious tone

"Yes I took a half day because I went to the grocery to buy some ingredients and stocks that we need. I'm planning to cook your favorite food tomorrow since you told me you'll be home" I explained to her while tracing her jawline with my finger

"Why didn't you tell me that you will catch up tonight and why it has to be until mid-night?"

"Hon, I'm not doing anything wrong don't be mad please?  It was not planned we just bumped to each other earlier in the grocery and we decided to have coffee after I brought home the groceries then we walk to the park and loose tracking the time"

"Who's that friend Jennie?" She asked wrapping her arms to my hips while giving my neck short kisses

"It's Kai"

"Kai? Your ex?!" She said with firm tone and I know she's starting get pissed

"Honey, don't be mad please. We just talked nothing more and whatever happened between us before it's already done, years already passed" I hold her chin to make her looked at me but she looked away

She just released a deep sigh and stand to her feet which made me stand also, her eyes are furious as if she's controlling her anger. I felt nervous with her silent, she didn't utter any word instead she walked inside the bathroom and I heard the water coming out from the shower. I decided to prepare her pajama and placed it on top of the bed and checked her traveling bag to get the used clothes for laundry. After I fixed Lisa's things I wear my nightgown getting ready to sleep.
