Chapter 66

"I think we need to go home, Rosé's drunk" Lisa said while holding Rosé's hips to support the latter

"Unnniiiieee" Chaeng utter which made me stand immediately on my feet and cup her face to check if she's just fine

"Yah! I told you don't drink too much, look at you aish! Come on let's go home" I was about to grab Chaeng's arm but Lisa stopped me

"Let me walk with you to the parking lot, she's heavy and taller than you, you can't carry her alone" she said with her blank expression, which part of me felt annoyed, is she teasing me? Of course I know my sister is taller than me but no need to state the obvious urgh! I rolled my eyes to her and grab my bag and Chaeng's then Mino grabbed my hand

"Let me drive you home, just to make sure you two will get home safe" he said and stand on her feet and turned his gazed to Lisa, I just nod as a response to him.

I walked first to give space to Mino as I told him to get Chaeng from Lisa which is now carrying this Chipmunk on a bridal style. He was about to grab Chaeng's hand when Lisa step back and refuse to give Chaeng to him. I saw Mino's fist turned into a ball which leads me to approach him and grab his wrist to avoid whatever he's thinking.

"Let's go" I pulled him away from the latter and head to the exit door

We just arrived in front of our house and we end up Lisa driving for us, it should be Mino but something came up in the bar that needs his attention and since Chaeng keep on insisting that she wants Lisa to drive us home. Along the ride I fixed my eyes outside the window while caressing Chaeng's hair, I saw Lisa on my  peripheral doing quick glances to us through the rear mirror. Lisa turned off the engine and hop out of the driver seat walking towards the backseat's door. She carry Chaeng and I walked out the car to open the gate and the door to let her in. 

"Come in" I said turning my head towards her direction as I noticed that she stop on the door step as if she's hesitating to go inside. I lead her to Chaeng's room and open the door for her as she walks inside and lay Chaeng on the bed. 

"Sorry for the trouble this Chipmunk caused you" I said while tucking Chaeng with her duvet 

"No worries, I don't mind" she uttered while stretching her arms and rubbing her nape "uhm, can I have a minute with her before I leave?" she smile 

"S-sure, I'll leave you here" I said and start walking outside Chaeng's room

I don't know what to feel, the way she looks at my sister it's full of care, does she likes Chaeng? She didn't even take time to look at me the way how she looks at me before or asked how am I doing, did she already moved on? my heart again pound harder this time, it feels like my chest is going to burst out in no time. I look back to Chaeng's room and saw Lisa, she's caressing Chaeng's face as if she's adoring every inch of the latter's skin. She tuck Chaeng's her behind her ear while she's saying something to the latter.

"I'm happy that you're okay now. I really want to kiss and hug you, I hope you also feel the same way as I do" 

I palm my chest as I can feel the pain and walked towards the living room to avoid hearing more of what she's going to say. I slump my butt on the couch and palm my face with my hands, me elbows above my lap.   

She likes my sister, what should I do now? does Chaeng feels the same for Lisa? what if she is? can I accept it? I uttered to my mind.  

Lisa is the only woman that I love from the very beginning until now, even if she hurt me before still my love for her didn't change, but if Chaeng feels the same way with Lisa, then it's best that she doesn't know anything about me and Lisa. 

"Are you okay?" I heard Lisa's voice I raised my head to meet her eyes as she's standing in front of me 

"A-ah yeah I'm okay. How was she?" I asked her while looking towards Chaeng's room direction 

"She's fine now. I just bid my goodbyes to her as I don't want to just leave her without saying goodbye" she said and smile "Anyway, I'll go now it's already late" She turned her back but I grab her wrist which made her stop

"How did you know my sister? What's your deal with her?" I asked her and stand on my feet, she faced me when she heard those questions

"She's working for me" she said and remove my hands from her wrist "I hope you don't take it the wrong way Jennie. She's adorable and I truly care for her" she uttered and smile 

"Do you like her?" I said as I can't help myself but I really need to know

"There's a lot of things to like about her, which didn't startled me knowing that she's your sister" she smile with her arms crossed

"I-if you like her---please---don't hurt her" I said and lower my head for her not to see the tears building on the corner of my eyes "A-and please do me a favor, don't tell her about us"

"If that's what you want then I'll keep every thing in the past. I'll go now, nice meeting you again Jennie" she said and turned her back and walked towards the door 

I raised my head when I heard the door closed as a sign that she already left. I can't stop my tears from falling my knees are starting to gets weak which made me slump on the couch. I cover my mouth with my palm to keep the sound of my sob, I don't want Chaeng to get confuse seeing me on this state. I took a deep breath and wipe the tears on my cheek, and drop by to Chaeng's room to check her before heading to my room. I sit on her bed side gazing at her caressing her arms, Chipmunk's feelings is more important than what I'm feeling with Lisa. 

"I'm sorry Unnie" Chaeng uttered her eyes are closed while her hand grab mine 

"Don't worry its okay but don't get drunk again okay? Suzy will not like it if she knew that you passed out because of too much drinking" I murmured while caressing the top of her head as I also want to know what really happened between her and Suzy

"She doesn't care anymore about me Unnie. We broke up before she left" my eyes widen knowing that she's going through this for months now and I don't have any idea about it

"What? Why didn't you tell me? What happened?" I asked 

"Well shit happens Unnie..that's life, we cannot have everything that we want, most of the time we need to choose on what we think is best for us" she uttered and smiled at me while her eyes half open

"What do you mean?" I asked with my puzzled eyes

"Well, she's not in favor with my decision staying here but, I need to stay, I don't want to missed this opportunity that I have here. I don't blame her though, maybe our love is not enough for us to stay together or maybe it's not the right time yet for us. I'm grateful that Lisa is always there when I need to vent out she helped me a lot to overcome the pain Unnie. She's a good person you know" her eyes are sparkling every time she mentioned Lisa, I see happiness with her eyes

"But.. you have me, you know you can open anything to me and we can talk about it" I said and lower my head 

"Yaaah, don't be like that, of course I know I always have you but, I don't want to add up to all the problems that you have. You already did so much for me since we were kids" she said and cupped my face with a grin "I'm just happy every time I'm with Lisa, but that doesn't mean that I don't need you, you're different from her" she added 

"Hmm.. okay but I still want to know if you have problems, I don't want you keeping something from me that's our rule right? No secrets?" I said though I felt awkward saying that we should not have secrets with each other since I know to myself that I am also hiding something from her 

"Yeah, it will not happen again I'll make sure to let you know everything that's happening to me, you 'll do the same thing right? no secrets?"

"Y-yes, o-of course... no s-secrets" I stuttered and give her a force smile 

"Okay.. we should rest now Unnie, it's already late" she said and give me a peck on the cheeks "I love you Unnie.. always" she said and smile

"I love you too Chipmunk, always" I said and give her a peck on the forehead and walked out to her room heading to mine
