Chapter 67

SEULGI'S POV

After the encounter with Lisa on the bar, Irene didn't stop bugging me with a lot of questions, about how Lisa meet Chaeng, how come they're close, why Lisa showed up just now which also my mind keep on asking. Lisa never said anything or even hang out with us after her and Jennie broke up. She also asked her father to look for someone as a temporary replacement with her position as a CEO in the company that I'm working for. She never communicated with us, all I know is that she went back to Thailand to rest and to moved on, even Jisoo was shocked when I told her that Lisa is back.

Currently I am sitting inside the meeting room as all the head of department were called for a meeting though they did not disclose yet why but I have a strong feeling that it is about Lisa. All the heads of the department are already settled, minutes past Mr. Wang the acting CEO entered the room.

"Good morning everyone, thank you for being early today" he said and smile to us "As you all know I was assigned before as the acting CEO in behalf of the one and only heirs of Manoban and I am really grateful for the opportunity and trust that the heirs given to me." he stated with a big smile in her face. Well I could say that Mr. Wang is doing great as a CEO though her management style is far different from Lisa but its great as well. "The purpose of this meeting is to announce to everyone that starting today I will no longer be the CEO of Manoban Group of Companies as our heir is back. Help me welcome our one and only Lisa Manoban" he said and pointed her hand to the front door revealing Lisa.

After a long speech from Lisa telling everyone how grateful she is to all the hard work of all the employees and how happy she is that she's already back she immediately proceed to her new renovated and re-designed office. It's already lunch time when the meeting ended so I went to her office to invite her for lunch and to also talk about those months that she's gone, and I'm glad that she accepted my invitation. We decide to have our lunch to our favorite restaurant near the office.

We are now sitting across each other on the couch of the restaurant. While waiting for our order to arrive Lisa is smiling while scrolling to her phone.

"So... are we gonna talk or you'll just smile there like crazy with your phone" I said which made her jolt and off her phone

"Okay, I'm sorry" she said and put her phone on the table "I just need to reply on that message"

"Ohh I see.. and who is that?" I asked crossing my arms raising my brow

"Hahaha.. what's with the look? That's Rosé and its about work" she said defensively

"Work huh, so I guess with that smile on your face you're really happy working with her" I said and she was about to answer when the waiter interrupted holding our order

IRENE'S POV

It's lunch time, Jennie and I decided to eat inside her office as she's not in the mood to go out so I just ordered food for us. We're now talking about what happened on the bar, though Jennie seems not affected as if she already moved on from Lisa or maybe because its Chaeng.

"This food is great" she said while munching the food

"Really Jennie? Its just a salad nothing new" I think she's just changing the topic since I'm bombarding her with lots of questions and I want her to be honest with me. "Don't fool me Jennie you're trying to change the topic and I'm telling you now it's not working on me" I said and rest may back on the couch

"What? I'm just telling the truth about the food"

"Yeah about the food, but what about my question? are you telling me the truth?"

"You know what Unnie, whether I am hurt or not that doesn't matter now. Lisa and I are already done for long time now and if she likes my sister and Chaeng feels the same towards her then I'll be happy for them." She explained while wiping her mouth with the tissue

"So you will let Chaeng get involved with the person who broke you? your ex? the only person that you love?" I said, well we're not yet sure if there's something going on with the two but as per Jennie they're always together. Lisa always picking up Chaeng to their house to drive to work, which is the typical protective Lisa. I still remember that she's also like that with Jennie before she never let Jennie drive.

"Chaeng is not a kid anymore Unnie, if ever that happens of course I cannot forgive Lisa but I don't want to meddle between them. It doesn't mean that she hurt me she will also hurt Chaeng and I can feel that she really cares for my sister" she said and give me a force smile "And you already said it she's my ex, maybe I still feel something for her but you know that my love for Chaeng is greater than that"

"But---" she didn't let me finish and cut me off while holding my hand and pressing it

"Unnie, I know you're worried but I'm fine, I'll be fine" she said and give me a wide smile. Her eyes are filled with pain and sadness which she's hiding because her sister's happiness is more important to her. She never changed when it comes to her sister she can endure anything. "You know me, I can handle this besides its Chaeng you know what I can do for her. Thank you for the food its really good" she said and walk to her private room to freshen up. After she left me on the pantry I just shook my head because of disbelief and start to clean up.

"Jennie, I'll go out now, I'm just on my table if you need anything" I said and start walking towards the door

"Unnie wait!" she yelled while standing on the door step of her private room

"Why?" I asked while looking at her holding my tablet

"Can you clear my schedule for next week? Chaeng wants us to have a vacation in Jeju" she said and walk towards her chair resting her back

"Yah sure, I'll just re-schedule your meetings" I said while typing the notes to my tablet

"And... I'm just wondering if you want to come?" she asked while her eyes are fixed on her laptop. Well I can come with her but I smell something is not right with this vacation.

"Why? I taught its your time with Chaeng?" Knowing her, its unusual that she will asked me to accompany her since she always want to spend and enjoy her time with her sister alone. Asking me to come with them makes me more curious.

"Uhm... she wants to have a vacation with me and Lisa. Honestly we will have the vacation at Lisa's resort in Jeju" hearing that from Jennie made my eyes widen in disbelief. I wasn't able to utter any word for a minute as I am still processing everything that this woman said.

"What?! Are you serious with this Jennie?! Are you planning to kill yourself in pain?" I don't understand why she's letting this to happen

"Unnie I told you I'm fine and besides I also promised Chaeng before that we will have our vacation to that resort" she smiled and turned her gaze to her laptop. I don't know anymore what to say I just shook my head and start walking out of her office before I forgot that she's my boss and we're at work. I left Jennie's office still in disbelief and went back to my work area. I grab my phone and sent a message to Seulgi to check if she already had her lunch.
