"Jessy, honey, Yossalyn called me today, she asked if you'd babysit Brian. Jordan and I have to work today so we can't babysit him. Can you take the girls to their place? I'll drop you off since I have to pick up Yossalyn and Chris anyway." Mom tells me.
I sigh.
"Fine. But only because I love kids." I say, smiling at her.
She beams back.
"I'm so proud of you baby." She says , proudly.
"Thanks, mom." I say. I love hearing her say those words. It means a lot to me.
Suddenly a thought occurs to me.
"Wait, why do we have to go there?" I ask, confused.
"Yossalyn and Chris have to come with us to work, so they can't be at home." She explains.
I scrunch my eyebrows together in confusion.
"So why can't they drop him here?" I ask.
"Because we're heading there anyway and it would just make everything easier." She says, patiently.
I nod my head, finally understanding.
"Jesy?" Jordan asks from the kitchen.
"Yeah?"
"Can you make sure your phone is charged, I don't want to have to worry about you if you don't pick up because your battery died." He says sternly.
I chuckle.
Jordan is like a father to me.
He's always worried about me and my well being.
I know he loves me as much as the girls, and I love him a lot too.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of myself and the girls." I say.
He smiles.
"I don't doubt that, honey. I'm really proud of you, it's just that sometimes you forget to take care of yourself too." He says.
I smile at his words.
I'm really lucky to have such an amazing family.
"Jesy! Thank you so much for doing this! I really didn't get the chance to talk to you and get to know you last time, so I hope we can today." Yossalyn says, smiling warmly at me.
I return her smile.
"Brian!" Sarah shouts when she sees him.
His gloomy face immediately turns into one of joy.
"You're still my friend right?" He asks her shyly.
She puffs her chest proudly and nods.
I laugh at their cuteness.
That's when Erick walks out from the kitchen and locks his eyes with mine.
He's wearing black sweatpants and a gray shirt, and he looks hot as hell.
His hair is slightly damp, and I can smell his vanilla scented soap and jasmine scented Shampoo.
Don't ask me how I know that.
"Hi." He says, giving me a small smile.
Ever since we went bowling, I could tell we had gotten slightly closer.
For once, I wasn't scared, and I definitely didn't mind.
I smile back.
"Hey." I say as he walks towards me.
