"I quite enjoyed the movie, you know?" I say, tucking my hair behind my ear as a breeze picks up.
"Me too. I'm not exactly a big fan of rom coms, but this one was actually good." He agrees.
I snort.
"You just liked it because of the sex scenes." I say.
"Not true." He says as we walk toward his bike.
"It is." I argue.
We sit on his bike, chatting for a while.
"Do you want to help babysit Brian tomorrow? He can be quite a handful." He says.
"Is that an invitation to hang out?" I ask.
"Maybe." He says.
I chuckle.
"You know, if you want to hang out you can just say so, it wouldn't kill you." I say.
He puts a hand over his heart and does a dramatic gesture.
I roll my eyes.
"Drama Queen." I say.
"Learnt form the best." He says, winking at me.
"Is that a compliment?" I ask, narrowing my eyes at him.
"Nope." He says.
I stick my tongue out at him.
"Idiot." I say.
He chuckles.
"Real mature. But you still didn't answer my question. Do you want to help out with Brian? You can tutor me in French too." He compromises.
I sigh.
"Can't. Mom and I are having a girl's day. Just the two of us, so no, you can't tag along." I say before he can saying something stupid.
"I'll ask Jake then." He says.
"Jake?! You're going to ask Jake?" I ask in disbelief.
"Yeah, what's wrong with that?" He asks defensively.
I snort.
"He's practically a baby himself!" I say.
He sighs.
"Good point."
"Where are your parents going?" I ask.
"Date night." He says.
"Aw, that's nice. Well, I show an ounce of kindness to you, just this once, and ask Jordan if he's free." I say.
"Why thank you. That's kind of you." He says sarcastically.
"I've been spending too much time with you." I say, shaking my head.
"You say that like it's a bad thing." Erick says cockily.
"Because it is. I don't need an ego as big as yours." I say, pinching his cheeks just to annoy him.
"You're mean." He says, pouting.
"Aw, is somebody hurt?" I say, mocking him.
"Yeah, my ego." He says.
"Good, because it could do with a bit a deflating." I say, putting my head on his shoulder.
"I had fun today." I say, looking off into the distance.
I turn to look at him with a smile.
"Me too. I always have fun around you." He says, meeting my eye.
"Wow, we should be crowned king and queen of cheesiness." I say with a chuckle.
