Izuku wasn't sure if Katuki was asleep yet or not but his thoughts were spinning and he was afraid that if he snuck out in the state he was in, trouble would catch up to him like it always does.
"Kacchan?" They were sharing his bed again, both still having the reminiscent feeling of homesickness from not seeing each other for so long.
Katsuki hummed in response as he opened his eyes to meet Izuku's, even though he couldn't see them.
"Sorry, did I wake you?" They both rolled over to face one another. Their eyes adjust to the darkness, Izuku's more so. While Katsuki could see his outline and the most noticeable features, Izuku could see him with as much detail as he did during the day.
"No, you didn't. What is it?" The time traveler moves to his back to stare at the ceiling.
"There was a boy I met. At the arena." He wasn't able to get his mind off of Tomura, and what might be happening in his life right now. What they could've been doing if everything had gone the way it should've.
"What about him?"
"He was my cellmate. Only a couple years older than us. Without him, things would've been a lot more difficult."
Katsuki didn't know what the nerd was going on about, but he knew it was important. This being the first time he's ever talked about the arena. He decides to gently push him to talk more about this boy, "What was he like?"
"Moody." Was Izuku's first thought. It made Katsuki snort at the fast answer. "Sarcastic and always knew how to push my buttons. He was cold, but once I got to know him I realised that he was just afraid to trust." Izuku's voice cracked at the end, his throat heavy from the trapped sob. "Tomura trusted me. He trusted me so much. Just as much as I trusted him. Yet I- I let him slip through my fingers." He buried himself into Katsuki's chest, trying to get his breathing under control.
"You're going to see him again. I just know it." Izuku didn't doubt Katsuki for a second. Something about how he had said those words were so reassuring and truthful that he couldn't not believe him.
"He was like my brother. I wanted him to stay with us so he could finally get a real family, you know? I wanted to introduce him to you, too. Although, I don't think you two would get along so well." He lightly chuckled at the thought of their two brash behaviors clashing. It would be a disaster that Izuku wasn't too keen on dealing with.
"Hah?! And why is that, nerd? I can get along with anyone!" The reaction only made Izuku laugh more, and that was all Katsuki needed. He wished that Izuku could just smile forever, but Katsuki was content taking all the chances he could get to make his best friend smile and laugh. "Now get to sleep, Izu. It's late and you need as much of it as you can get."
Izuku begrudgingly nodded, "Goodnight, Kacchan." Then his eyes were slipping close and the need to sleep clung onto him, refusing to let go until he fully succumbed to it.

The rest of the week passed by relatively smoothly. Most nights he would sneak off and go outside to let air fill his lungs and stretch his restless body. He got to see the detective and hero again, solidifying the idea of being homeschooled for a year before going back. Izuku is even going to be able to see Hizashi and Nemuri in the upcoming weeks, something that he's really excited for.
Today was the day of his first therapy session. In all honesty, Izuku didn't understand the big deal of having to go. Half of the stuff that was wrong with him he couldn't even talk about, especially to some person who he's never met before.
